OSP SR Viper belt adjuster with float

I sent a couple of e-mails now to www.Onestopperformance.com web site about the belt Adjuster and left 2 messages on this site for onestopjim but got no response.
Got my belt adjuster today. Can I run the 8DN belt now with this and the 8JP ? Going to buy new belt when I get mt sled and was going to buy 8DN if it well work on stock with belt adjuster installed. What is the part # for the 8DN belt for the viper?

Yes you can as long as you remove the 3 bolts and washers on the back of the secondary. You could run the 8 dn without it also it just requires adding washers to the back as shims. I don't know the part number all the Yamaha, dayco and gates I have ever bought said 8dn or direct replacement for 8dn on the chart

Yes Know I had to remove the 3 bolts and washers.
Is this the # for the 8DN belt, (8dn-17641-o1 ) found it on another tread? Can you run this belt with belt adjuster installed.

Yes that is the 8dn you can buy them all day from $50 to $60
Thanks for the reply.
So well the 8dn-17641-o1 belt work on stock machine with belt adjuster and 3 bolts and washers removed from back secondary?

that is what he is saying yes you can I thought you had to also remove the inner plate but I dont know as I dont run a viper I could have sworn that the inner plate had to be removed from previous posts But Yamadog has 2 vipers so im sure he knows

The inner plate just confuses people I think. Forget about inner plate unless you are an extreme builder. Most of us put on the 8DN and then had to adjust deflection via the three little bolts on the back of the secondary clutch, to get enough play we needed to add one washer per bolt to get it. It is in the FAQ above with pics.

The OSP built a handy adjuster and you no longer need to adjust via the three little bolts.

As I mentioned above, I recommend against removing the plate. It's more trouble than its worth. If you choose to, use heat to remove the three screws...

Huh? Just trying to help. I have one on mine also. Like it a lot.

Sorry Cannon I was on the stupid phone I was being funny and replying to Thor's comment and got yours in the reply by mistake
