LOL, we are a land of passionate pacifists, we bow to everyone. Canada, a land with the population of florida and less GDP than some states (would be 4th on the list, just ahead of florida) is somehow a G7 country handing out money like its candy. We love to hang out with the big boys.canuckistan copeks....that is tooo funny. The Canadian people are great, I have Canadian heritage...yet I too would question how things are run in the great white north. All it takes to get elected is good hair, right DNA, a hammer in one hand and a sickle in the other..just ask the truckers.

I agree, the power steering on my T cat is incredible! I was wondering what the impact of power steering is on darting/ getting caught up in someone else carbide track in front of you? Haven’t have hard trail conditions yet to test it, does anyone have any experience with it?

In about 5 years a used EPS Winder should cost around 10K.I love hearing these stories.
Over the years it has always been ironic how folks that spend a pile of money on a "toy" will defend their purchase till they day they die, or the day they replace it with the next best thing.
Winder owners for years badmouthed us Apex EPS owners saying, a well setup sled does not need it. I'm happy to hear what sounds like some very honest opinions that Yamaha hit a home run by adding a possibly better EPS setup into the winder. It truly is one of the main reasons I didn't want to switch away from my Apex. And it's not that I don't know what a ProCross chassis is like. My Viper is setup about as well as it can be minus a turbo. But I still prefer my Apex XTX.
Keep the reports coming guys. I may be shopping for my next used sled. As I Once said I would never pay more than 10K for a sled. But I know I will never pay over $20K for a sled.

Just wondering if anyone knows what it is or why its throwing a code.. It went away on the sled I saw it on, so ?? I do not have a eps model but I ride with someone who has one..

There are lots of reports of codes being thrown on startup, something about EPS rotor position encoder (C1305), it seems to go away right after startup. Lots and lots of reports of SD26 (map sensor) and SD30 (oil pressure) on '23 sleds as well.

I only ever got that code once when the sled was brand new. It went away on it's own, and has not come back, even on early morning, freezing cold (below -20C) startups. I have about 4500-5000 kms on that sled now, so I view it as a new sled one-off for me (knock on some wood) .YES. This.. Its a 2022 sled

Last time i had the stx out, I had just got past the 160km mark and was able to open it up to 8000rpm. The trail hadnt been groomed in a while and the striker ski was very darty when getting over 60km/hr. I then looked down and noticed that the dealer had set the skiis all the way inside, so i am going to move them out and try tomorrow and see how it is.I agree, the power steering on my T cat is incredible! I found my S-TX darty as well. I took some preload off the front springs and changed the wear bars to mission offset 6", and that has improved it quite a bit (but not gone). I should also check the stance, I never even thought to look at that!Last time i had the stx out, I had just got past the 160km mark and was able to open it up to 8000rpm. KnappAttack, I know you run the stock arms with your setup but it would be interesting to see you go to the bop bent arms to see how much easier it is to steer and then give impression on those also compared to new stock power steering sleds. Yes, I know turning radius is changed but still be interested in seeing you at least try it or have someone who has the bent arms to compare.Rode my buddies 22 LTX-GT last week. OMG if there ever was a game changer this is it! The power steering on the Winder works much better than the Apex ever did. I was really impressed with it, made it honesty feel lighter than a 5 or 600! I can't say enough good about it. The whole machine was a dream. It rode so well, steered so easy and went like stink for a stocker! I was seeing 9000 and even 9250 when it was spinning with all stock stuff on it. The first few corners I was oversteering it!
I was riding a clients SE last week and it rode and steered like a buckboard with the stock tuner skis on it in comparison. I wished I'd have had my LE with the snowtrackers and BOP arms with to compare with the GT, my LE steers very easily, but the actual power steering puts it in another league.
Power Steering it going to prolong my riding years with bad tendinitis and bad shoulders that my old Doos gave me!
