So heat up sled THEN take off bolts?Of all the 17 sleds we did at the shop only one had bolt break off the housing.
Now we ask customers to warm the sled up a bit before we do them. Seems to help as we have a 98% success now taking out the bolts without breaking them.
Many of these sleds had some miles on them between 2 miles to 1000 miles already.

Warm sled idling not fully warmed up where you leave skin on the exhaust just touching it. Basically the customer just brings sled out of trailer and then let it idle for 2 minutes and in the shop it goes. Then we do the exhaust work soon after. We had zero issues the single cold sled that had mileage. So heat up sled THEN take off bolts?

Does anyone have a link to a stock muffler mod sound clip?
What don't you understand if your quiet muffler makes less power than the turboforce then your quiet will make less power than the sandale 2.5" pretty simple. On another note I have a mod stock that is almost stock quiet but loses quite a bit of power compared to any other muffler. You said their quiet muffler to be the same as our turboforce hp wise. I can tell you our quiet doesnt make the same hp as the turboforce. Most likely their quiet is similar to ours hp wise. That would be a more accurate statement.

How is the Sandale 2.5" going to make as much as a straight through design? The Sandale looks very nice, but both it and the SQ use the same MagnaFlow muffler. Seems they'd be pretty equal. What don't you understand if your quiet muffler makes less power than the turboforce then your quiet will make less power than the sandale 2.5" pretty simple. So you knuckleheads got me nervous enough about breaking off a bolt that I ran up, bought another 5 SS hex heads and put them in with a generous amount of copper anti-seize. The 5 I had in all came out easy, so it was likely unnecessary, but I enjoy that sled so much I "look" for reasons to go in the garage to do something to it. Checked the chain tension (again) since I was right there, all good.

you are posting the stock muffler video, just so you know.
the excell is not very quiet IMO, its likely same sound as the hindle with same design, and +12db over stock.
Terry, can you tell me how many DB over stock the EVO magnum is? (their quiet one)
thnx
this is the excell muffler sound, much louder then their stock video above
Dan, the EVO magnum is 3-4 decibels over stock

Just looking at muffler I would be very surprised if it is as quiet as our super quiet. Because the super quiet uses a bigger longer body muffler with more curves before the pipe. The way you quiet down a straight through muffler is to slow down the air and have the largest body muffler possible for maximum noise dissipation within the packing. How is the Sandale 2.5" going to make as much as a straight through design? The Sandale looks very nice, but both it and the SQ use the same MagnaFlow muffler. Seems they'd be pretty equal.
However although it is most likely louder, the sandale looks like it would outflow our super quiet. It is probably better compared with the Turboforce muffler which btw aint that loud...this is the muffler I have in my sled. Compared to our 3 inch race muffler which made my ears ring just testing a few hours lol...

The real test of noise will be in the 7000-9xxx range.... This is where the full sized muffler of super quiet seems like it's the best balance between quiet and power
