Thanks Pratas for the kind words. We're virtually neighbours :) Great to have Yamaha riders from Russia on the best Yamaha site on the net.

Please tell us more about riding in Russia.

I just sat down and took the time to read all your post RXrider and I must say you are the best info source on this site or at least the one with the most post and pics.I must thank you for all the time you have put in this, your information on MCX turbo is excellent.I have just purchase a used 2007 MCXpress 260 T16 model. Will be needing some opinions from you for a couples of things if its ok with you.And if you have the time.

mcxpress

RXrider is there anyting I should know about the MCXpress 260 T16 model that I just bought. Is the blow off valve that came with the kit ok,or should I get a new one.

The usual, check that all pressurized hoses are in good conditions, check all hose clamps. Check all pressure signal hoses for leakage, secure the hoses with hose clamps, I'm no fan of zip-ties.
Make sure oil is pumped into the turbo, loosen the return hose and start the engine, it should start pumping oil pretty soon after startup, if not you have a problem. The mitsubishi's are pretty tough as long as they have oil, they run journal bearings that will last a long time.

I would recommend a new BOV, Vortech or TiAL are my favorites. You may continue to run the Mitsu BOV that's already there, it simply do not have the capacity to let go of pressure fast enough, an additional BOV will do wonders in on-off-on-off throttle riding.
