2017 Sidewinder LTX-SE. 11750 miles (SOLD)
Seeing slightly less belt dust after removing just over 2 mm. The lower offset is helping IMO.

Approaching 500 miles in temps ranging from 30 degrees Fahrenheit to -22 this past weekend. Many high speed lakes and some "belt banging" just to see the effect. Cool clutches and running smooth so far knock on wood. 270 tune going to max 17 this weekend. TP rollers, springs, helix. Dalton weights at 74g

Well, finally got a chance to get out and put some miles today. Since using Hurricane bar, I now have well over 1000 miles at 300hp with 22/41 gears on a 8jp. This is a record for me.
Left home at 1pm and returned at 330pm with 137 miles on the trip. Lots of fast running and lots of long pulls. All my belt issues are behind me now!!

I usually change setup every ride depending on temp/conditions. I like Yamaha blu/brn/blu primary for trail riding as low engagement and good mpg. Today, I rode alone and knew I'd be pushing hard and at limits of intercooler, so lightened the weights to 75gram. Secondary Dalton blk/org with 41/35 wrapped to 70 degrees.

I've got a 19 SRX too. I put my hurricane bar on it and it too was off 2mm.
Do you have any shims behind secondary? Check and measure it if so.

I have 1 behind the secondary because I didn’t want to run against the snap ring. I have accounted for that. Had to machine mine 2.9mm

300 horse and only 75 gram weights? That doesn't seem right. I was testing with my sled earlier, running 85 grams in my STM weights at 8900-9000rpm on the 270 tune. I will add 1 more gram to get it down to 8000.

y60 or ys 60? do you mind telling the springs and weights also?
I have just upped my tune and wondering if the YS60 will work?
Whoaa! 75g at 300hp? How does that work? i tried running the lightest spring i could buy......Yam Blue/white/Blue with 76.8 g and i was slipping the belt to the point i was burning a ridge into the movable with the 8JP. I loved the snap, but once i saw what it was doing to the movable sheave i made a wholesale change.I usually change setup every ride depending on temp/conditions. I put 800 miles on an 8jp with no belt dust and only slight wear. I did burn the belt slightly in really cold temps cuz the sled was tight so i Switched to an 825xs belt for 500 more miles. Absolutely no belt dust. Running hurricane sm bundle with their arms, a 37/35 dalton helix and org/blk spring. Performed very well. No complaints. Removed a lot off the secondary shaft to get it to line up. Barely sticks out past the shieve. Clutches cool every time I checked.
