Guys unless running Ice or Flat Track the trails aren't perfect so really not going to notice anything. That said I sure think my Race Quad Swaybar adjustable links will bolt right on our swaybar!

I see what you are saying cannondale to make the sled weigh even on the scales but for real world riding wouldn’t you want more preload on the right side to make the left and right side cycle evenly and not have the right side bottom out? I know we are splitting hairs, and most likely wouldn’t feel the difference but I just wanted to understand if you were talking about just evening the scales or set up for trail riding. It seems like one is the opposite of the other

Instead of thinking of the wieght think of hieght. A scale measurement is nothing more than the scale being squished more or less. Hieght of scale changes. So if shock is made shorter with less preload it will push on scale less. Less wieght. Total wieght of front two remains the same. There is no adjustable swaybar but could easily be made. Swaybar has HUGE effect on left to right. Way more than springs.
That helps....(I think)! Thanks!
I bet Travis (BOP) is now working away at adjustable sway bar links to sell to all of us...

So what was the conclusion of the article?
And wait, there's an adjustable sway bar out there?
Our local Weights & Measurements guru BEERMAN has entered the game! About time 'cuz i may need you on this one.
I read the whole article and came away.....well..... dumber than i was before. That's why i bought my own scales to play with. I may send them to my Padawan for further analysis.
The article explains this test came about listening to people on the trails talking about race cars & how they influence races that turn just left with shocks & weight.
SnowGoer adjusted shocks completely loose to completely tight with barely a 5 pound difference on scales. Although there was no "weight" difference they had no snow to test how adjusting shocks for non-equal weights would work or not work.
I would love to play one weekend with tightening lighter side to see how it effects the sled. Would it turn the same both directions? Would it be better on corners, but worse on bumps?
Now while riding, i'll be obsessed thinking of these things. At least it's not fat chicks on Arctic cats like CLUTCHMASTER.
If you look at the charts it shows the Procross 800 is actually more equally balanced than the 850 Doo . They all put about same front to back weight ratio's once a rider is on top. The Procross chassis had the most front to back influence when leaning forward or standing on back rails. The Polaris was able to shift more weight left to right than the others.
I have come to these conclusions:
1. I need to win lotto so i can retire to have time to test/adjust everything to get the PERFECT ride
2. If i was BEERMAN i would have had all this on video by now
3. All 4 sled manufactures have come to the same conclusion as to where to put riders' weight
4. I miss the days when i just rode whatever had gas in it
5. Grown men will fight over a fictional Smiley Sticker prize

If it's bottoming there is bigger issues. With more wieght on right side you would have to compensate more for left hand turns than right hand to avoid inside ski lift. By backing off spring it moves the wieght over to left so you wouldn't have to hang off that extra half inch! If you really think about it though. Most of us are right hand and left foot dominant. So if it's uneven the right side is where you would want it.I see what you are saying cannondale to make the sled weigh even on the scales but for real world riding wouldn’t you want more preload on the right side to make the left and right side cycle evenly and not have the right side bottom out? I know we are splitting hairs, and most likely wouldn’t feel the difference but I just wanted to understand if you were talking about just evening the scales or set up for trail riding. Because Yamaha decided to "burden" us with this turbo on one side, i wonder if an adjustable sway bar would really turn this beast into.......well a meaner beast. If Yamaha added power steering to compensate for the motor weight, i wonder if they thought of this. It makes perfect sense. I ride too fast to notice this crap, but now i can't sleep!

For TT on quads which are quite a bit lighter than sled we always ran 0 with swaybar since was left and right turns. For a banked oval we ran between 8 and 10 lbs to the left. That was only about two threads on swaybar but bar has way less give than ours on sleds. If you hit a berm or really any irregularity in track it could really throw you off. We need snow bad. Pretty soon we will be discussing how the Blue is much Faster since that light Spectrum occurs more naturally!Because Yamaha decided to "burden" us with this turbo on one side, i wonder if an adjustable sway bar would really turn this beast into.......well a meaner beast. My head is spinning!
I rode over 100 mph on my bike this evening to compare my new helmet & forgot to write my findings.
I didn't even notice our quiet shepherd Don aka: VX1R joined the fray.
And i missed the Lost in Space trivia.
I need sleep....but i can't cuz there is a sled in my head! And an UNBALANCED sled at that.
As my once NRA president Charlton Heston once said "damn you all to hell".
It's an easy quote, but still worth a sticker...

Now i have to buy a Spectrometer a Lux meter and a Photometer to prove if Blue is faster.
WE NEED SNOW!!!!!!!!!

Planet of the Apes!
"damn you all to hell" could also be applied to all of the aftermarket boost vendors who keep posting their latest results on their latest and greatest products for our beloved SideWinders.
How in hells name do they expect us SW owners who want to keep our stock boost levels to sleep at night knowing what's available just a phone call away?
It reminds me of the scene in Animal House where young Pinto finally has Dean Wermer's daughter all drunked up and passed out on his bed and the demon and angel are both offering him advice on what to do next.
