Maybe another flash will correct the starting issue as well....
If your speedo is off then yes.Was in December that the speedo killing flash was being distributed by Yamaha. Don't know exact dates or whether it was just the USA flash.Ya I just had mine flashed "the updated" about 2 months ago, do I need to go back again?

I would like to thank our Canadian brothers for testing the flash for us.
Hopefully it is correct now. I'm still not going in until I get an official notice from Yamaha. I don't see how they can void my warranty if it's not officially available.

On the last ride my sled was 30 km over my friends renegade on the odometer...that's over, you guys are showing under.I called my dealer today, they weren't aware of any issues and said they will call Yamaha and check it out.I had mine done mid November.

Mines over...105mph speedo is 74.7 mph gps...I wonder if it has something to do with driver size...I believe we both have 7 tooth.

So what is the consensus guys? Those of you with speedos that are screwed up can you post when you had the flash completed so we can get a handle on whether they have " fixed the fix". I'm an hour away from my dealer and don't want to waste my time. I can live with two attempts to start, my Nytro was like that if memory serves. Mine starts OK most of the time but it surges at idle something awful. Only starting issue it seems I have is when air temperature is warm like upper 30's. Hasn't kicked back since the last flash so that's good. Mine is 14 RTX
Now two dealers have told me they were informed that the speedo issue is now fixed and the new new flash available. I believe it is fixed. DeerHuntr call your dealer and have them confirm this for you. That's there job to be informed. All it will take is a call to rep.

Sounds good, think my dealer is a little out of the loop on most of the stuff to be honest. I check here first. Will call next week.

I will need to call my dealer on the fix too. Mine is off. Everything it had to hit 80 on the speedo and my buddy was doing 95 behind me. Checked gps at the first top...shows 40 miles and the machine is only at 35.

That's something I will have to check also, next time I'm out, is the mileage...

My local dealer knows nothing about a new flash yet. Doesn't surprise me with these guys

Has anyone else experienced the sled just shutting down for no reason after the new flash? It actually seems to be happening to mine more frequently now. It happens mostly at idle, or when moving slowly. Yesterday I rode for six hours and it died 6 or 7 times, once at about 20-25 mph.
Oh my! Can we add that to the poll Jeff? That is a safety issue undoubtedly. Please bring this to your dealers attention asap.Has anyone else experienced the sled just shutting down for no reason after the new flash?
