What are you guys running for clutching with max16 sm? Is every one happy with this tune?
Have run 2 different Primary weight set ups with the 35/39 reverse and stock 35 helix. Both stock springs.
The 35/39 keeps the top end rpms in check and seems smoother to me.
Stock weight with washer added to tip weight, once warm 2650 engagement. Others are now adding weight to the heel rivet also for lower cruising rpms I would guess.
Dalton QA 70 with somewhere around 1.9 grams added, once warm 3000 engagement. These are very easy to tune once they are installed. Just add or subtract weight with a long Allen wrench that comes with the kit.
The Max Spool 16 is a lot of hp and speed for trails. Period. If I was a racer it would not be enough to run with what is out there, realizing one can top 300 hp with slight mods and tune if they want. 1 guy at dealer had his set for 330hp. Cannot imagine that on trail at all, whereas I already find myself respecting this monster at 260 ish on trails around here. Maybe if I lived and rode only in the county with their long, fast, wide open, expansive trail system !
Tried some 90 non ethanol for first time this week. Happy to say, no knock light even at 125 on speedo and it was still pulling but did not want to blow a belt so I let up. That was across a lake with perfect groomed trail that had set up really hard! My best speed yet on snow so I guess it likes that 90, but When I filled it, it took 8.2 gallons, so not pure 90.

This is helpful. Lots of folks recommend changing springs and helix's. I'm leaning towards a set of QAY's with stock springs and a stock helix to start. I could always swap out springs later if I think it is necessary.
The trails I ride are twisty. Lots of on and off the throttle with very little top end running, which is why I was leaning towards MS16 over PT.

Nope to any less then the Max Spool 16. It will cost you if you need more like I did, and need an upgrade tune. You will not believe the midrange on your new found beast!!! And low end is so manageable, feels like low hp motor with it’s mild manner until you give it too much throttle. Whoa....

Interesting. So you are using the stock primary spring and can load your QAY to 75 ?
Did not think that just a secondary spring would do that whereas 2 of us with like sleds only need 72 grams or less to achieve those rpms. Saw a bit more revs with the stock 35 helix but not enough for 3 more grams???

Track Dyno always been calibrated with Dynotech readings. We run on the track dyno then head off to dynotech. We have gone 3 times so far and always exceed our claimed HP. I take off 10HP per track dyno estimates to be sure.lol....estimated off track dyno.
If anything my tunes are rated on the conservative side.
Also we have the best performing stock muffler tune proven on the trails. Tons of Max Spool 16sm out there and customers return and their friends too.
just an awesome tune all around, Economy Power response. Well above 260HP especially when combined with a BOV and CAI.

I am finding the datalogging, bluetooth connection and flash to pass button somewhat unreliable therefore I would like to reflash to a single tune at a time but when I choose ECU Flash there is no list of available flashes. I only see Online Flash. I don't know what that means and still nothing shows up.
It takes multiple tries to connect to the tool. The data dashboard locks up. After restarting sled dashboard continues to show ignition off.
How do I reflash to a single flash instead of the Jukebox now?
Thanks

I would connect your flasher to your computer and run the GAP app. Download the firmware and all the files again. its should include juke box and any single flashes you have Then reconnect the flasher to your sled No reason it shouldn't work then

Single flash is great,if you don’t want to go fast, let off throttle, this tech, juke box ,computer, etc I’d have to shoot myself. Electric and computers don’t like vibration, cold weather and especially Water,

I am running Thunder Products Heavy Hitters 67.8 grams, TP orange in primary, TP orange in secondary at 3-1 , TP 33/35 . stock gearing XS825 belt. 1800 miles this year with this set up, same belt clutches are cool normal riding, slightly warm when beating on it. I did add more air intakes and a lot of holes in side panels to let warm air out. RPM is 2750 engagement and 8950 WOT. My bike runs great!!! very smooth but responsive then at about 6500rpm it turns into an animal. pulls very hard and builds speed very fast. What are you guys running for clutching with max16 sm? No we have gone 3 times from our track dyno to dynotech with thr 1100 turbo sleds. This way we know the difference between our track dyno and the engine dyno of dynotech. Now we always go on the Conservative side to be sure. Are your results for the 998 posted on DT’s site?
But i guess you'd rather trust someone's in house engine dyno.
Dynos can be manipulated tunes can be tailored to peak high on dyno... All that is Bullshit.
Best way to check is performance in the field. We have extremely good field performance and top reliability to boot.
