Watched a TD Youtube about the range of tunes for Stock Muffler and Ben says use 3 Bar map sensor and Turbosmart BOV with SM Max Spool 16. Are these a must? Is it safe to run without these add-ons?

Yes absolutely safe on the stock muffler.
Blow off valve makes more boost and extra power. 3 bar is to get exact right reading at ecu for best tuning.

Max spool 16sm is the only big power fully trail tested and endurance tested stock muffler tune.
We recognized the need for high performance stock muffler tunes last season and started Early and tested for months before releasing.

Does one have to send their ecu to get flashed or are there dealers in NY that will flash it?

We can do it direct at TD or contact Tom ferry at arctic adventures. He is a dealer for us.

I am adding Turbo Smart BOV and 3 Bar Map sensors and keeping the stock exhaust.
Is there any special info or instructions for installing these?

My Max Spool file says CAI. I do not have a CAI do I need different tune?

Mine said the same. It just runs a little more rich without the CAI.

I haven’t flashed my dash so I don’t know what shows up there - I think the HP number shows up.
As I understand it the Stock Muffler Max Spool 16 tune file name starts with CAI_ ... everywhere. Ben PMed me and said it’s ok

On my phone last year it was listed as the max 17 lean on the screen but the flash file said max 16 CAI. I'm sure it's all getting sorted out by now.

Max 16 sm is similar in power to your setup.
It runs a little higher in boost.
It runs best with a td 3bar map and blow off valve upgrade... We carry everything in stock.

I also have max 16 and 3 bar and td bov and msm,and CAI was told it was 16.9 psi and close to 275 hp. is that correct?

Mod stock muffler is 270hp
Stock is 260

Cold air intake doesn't have a big influence as stock muffler is the restriction gives a little more hp same tune for both.

Thanks Ben,ya I had keith woods do the flash,and his mod stock muffler,i already had the CAI last few years,was told boost pressure was close to 17 lbs with your bov,at any rate I was hoping it was more than your PT with same set up.

It's a big gain vs powertrail.

Tried my max spool 16 sm, still with stock bov and map sensor, big difference from ecotrail tune. Adding 3 bar map sensor and Td bov this week, need to add more clutch weight as well.Very happy with tune.
