So what if you have it wrapped at 70 instead of 80? Does it do any damage...I wrapped my new one at 6/1 or 70% like the old one...didn’t know of any difference?
Had the original black/orange last year wrapped at 3/3 or 60% for the first 650 miles, before I changed it to 6/1 or 70% fir the second half of last year, and to be honest I didn’t notice any real difference??

It won't hurt anything - wrapping it more increases the pretension and will provide quicker back shifting - and possibly a slightly higher rpm - but if you didn't notice a drop in rpm, and your back shifting felt good - I wouldn't worry about it. RPM tuning should really be done through the primary clutch anyway. So what if you have it wrapped at 70 instead of 80? Thanks Beerman. Figured that much. Ya I didn’t get any more R’s last year when I went from 60 to 70
% on the wrap. And my back shifting seemed the same to me...but then again I ride in an area where it’s very big open trails and Rail beds...lots of high speed running, so perhaps that’s why I didn’t notice any difference in back shifting???
Thanks for the response.

I'm looking forward to more reviews of the Max16 SM tune. Are max spool tunes harder on belts vs. powertrail SM?

I did an EXTERNAL CAI and Turbosmart BOV at the same time. Get to hear all sorts of turbo noise now. I like it, some will not.
Got my sled back together after sorting through a bunch of boost leaks and it rips, cant wait to get some decent snow where there's traction.
Running Max 16 SM with external CAI, 3 bar map sensor, and Turbosmart BOV

The power is insane for a stock muffler tune definately underrated. We get tons of reviews over the phone. Typically it goes like this... Are you sure this is safe??? In a concerned voice.I'm looking forward to more reviews of the Max16 SM tune. Are max spool tunes harder on belts vs. powertrail SM?
I say... why do you ask?
Well the sled is too fast it's ridiculous. Are you sure there isn't too much back pressure and we'll hurt something...
No we have over 10000 km now on some customers sled with these tunes, never had an issue.
Proven setup...
So off they go. But I've had this at least 5 times so far same exact conversation.

Ok once up to camp,i will go with Dalton blk/blu primary with empty dtya-1 ramps and stock 35 helix and Dalton orange/blk secondary at 70 degrees. Those weights are 74.9 grams heavy a bit especially with steeper helix. You will need a stiff primary to offset and I prefer the 35 helix.
