Wife’s chest too big for these bibs?

More parts are showing up. I got my upper heims and spindle studs from Alternative Impact.

Upper arms showed up from Partzilla too.

The box was open and torn so the bolts and nuts I ordered with the arms didn’t show. Tried messaging Partzilla but they get were too busy due the holiday, is what they told me. Might have to go back to Babbitt for my parts. I showed them the box.

And even showed them that’s how it was delivered with proof from my ring camera.

Then argued with them over an order I placed on 4-22. I ordered DuPont slides, bunch of bearings and bushings, magnets for the speed sensor, bolts and washers to the tune of $450 and they’re holding my order up over 2 secondary clutch shims that are $1.04! Told me it would cost me $7.95 to split the shipment. I told them to ship my order and when they get the shims, stick them up their….. you know. Throw them away, I don’t care, send my parts!! So they cancelled the washers and refunded me $1.12 and still haven’t gotten a shipping notification. Ridiculous.

So definitively the AI heims don’t fit the upper arms. But I can drill and tap the threaded hole in the arms and use the AI heims. That’s good.
The tapered bolt that goes into spindle fits the upper and lower holes so I might go with Alternative Impact lower heim and 2 more studs. That will be easier to do with making my own lower arms than using the ball joint from Zbroz even though that ball joint looks beefy and it’s sealed. Not 100% yet. I’ll see when I have all the parts.

My brothers XTX has 2 hard seasons on his AI arms and joints and they’re still holding up fine.

The new upper arms are blue but they’re getting powder coated with the spindles and rails after I drill and tap them for the new heims.
Stay tuned, updates will happen as I get more parts and start making my arms. Thanks for looking.

I have a problem, I can’t leave anything alone. I’ll never be done either. I just usually move on to the next thing that catches my interest.
And you have a good 6+ hour drive up north too! I used to live in the NW burbs before moving up to MN. Much better riding up this way now haha.

Yeah, I’m about 18 miles from Chiraq and it’s a 326 mile ride to my place up north. Been doing that ride for so long it seems like nothing. It’s about 5-1/2 hr ride. Most think that’s crazy for how often I do it but I don’t have to drag my toys or gear back and forth. If I wasn’t making what I make at work, I’d be living up there full time in a heartbeat. I absolutely hate the state of Illinois but I have to do what’s best for my family at the moment. My oldest just graduated high school and my youngest is going into 4th grade. If I find the right job up north in an area with good schools, I’m gone.

Few years ago I had someone from Wausau wanting to buy the house up there. I told him I wasn’t ready to sell so he ended up buying the property next to me and behind me and then told me my snowmobile garage was on his property. There’s no way, I had building permits and lot lines before I built the garage but his property lines were on an angle where mine were straight. That put my garage 8” on his property on one corner. We battled back and forth, tried trading 20’ off my back for 10’ down the side. He said no. Then offered to buy me out again so I had house appraised. Came back at 157k so I said the house needs a roof and it’ll cost me 8k to move my garage so give me $145k and you can have it. He offered 92k so I told him to kick rocks. Then I was gonna pull my garage forward 1’ and the county was good with it but he screamed about easement. If I pulled it 10’ forward I would be too close to the attached garage which is a fire code violation so I had to pull it 10’ forward and 1/4 turn it. Had a bunch of estimates that were more expensive than if I tore the garage down and rebuilt it. So first thing I had done was Wisconsin power come out and they did an inground splice and rerouted my power line so the new garage pad wasn’t on top of the power. That cost me $2200. Then they wanted $10k to pour a new pad attached to existing and then move the garage. I paid $7600 total for garage in 2017. So my brother and I went and did it ourselves.
Here’s what I had and have never seen any different except the ones he came up with.

Here was my options. If I moved it straight out towards driveway I would have been too close to attached garage. So 10’ towards driveway and 9’ away from garage would put sled garage too far into drive and overlap existing garage. Sled garage is 20x24 so if I 1/4 turn it it’ll actually line up with attached garage.

So we settled on 1/4 turning it even though it was more work. Hired a crew to do the concrete for me to save time. But took them forever to get it done.

I told them I wanted the concrete to go all the way to the end on the driveway side where the line is but they didn’t listen. I could t be there when they did it either.

So I finished the concrete myself.

Went back a few weeks later and disconnected power and braced the inside walls.

I used these Hilman rollers and I-beams across the corners of garage under the 2x10 braces across the walls.

Jacked up the garage and put it on the rollers and then cut the anchoring studs under the walls.

Used the winch on my truck to pull off the back corners and very slowly moved the garage while spinning it. It was a slow process but we did it in one weekend with 2 of us!
Thankfully my brother is an electrician so we had lights on the entire time.

We got up there on Friday night and got power disconnected and walls braced before going to bed. Saturday morning we jacked it up and moved it. Set it down about 2am Sunday morning. After a short nap we bolted it down after checking square, closed it down, shut down the house and headed home and I had to be at work 11pm Sunday night.

This summer I have to drag skid steer up and fix the landscape and dig out the driveway to have more gavel delivered. I’m gonna make the driveway double wide and put some gravel off to the side to park my trailers instead of putting them out back every year.

Vs how it used to be.

Is it true that MN has speed limits? And I also heard you’ll get a ticket for a studded track. When we were heading that way and settled in Brule, we heard someone say those things and I thought, good thing we didn’t go that far then, we’re all studded and have a hard time staying under 55!

50 MPH unless otherwise posted, statewide.
Metal traction devices not allowed on blacktop/paved trails. These are usually State trails used for bicycling/hiking/walking in summer. Also, UTV/ATVs cannot use snowmobile trails.

Good to know. Thanks.

With 300+ HP I can hardly can get the muffler hot @50 LOL. But fish cops do enforcement often. I ride in WI allot because there is only a speed limit at night. Daytime in WI speed limit is 150 MPH LOL!! :jump:
