Yamaha Cutting Production for 2019

Soooooooo, you're saying' there's a chance. YES!
My guy at the dealer is well informed and keeps up with what Yamaha has coming down the pipeline, he new about the new 998 turbo being tested before it was released as a sidewinder and Yamaha is pretty tight lipped about that kind of stuff.

I think Yamaha will bring a new machine in 1/2 years and it will be really nice and still some people will not be happy sound possible ????

That's the kicker Yamaha always releases the unexpected, there will always be something wrong and always somebody mad and complain about it no matter what you do, always!!

It's too heavy, too expensive, too much power for the trail, too blue....waaa waaa waaa

I've had a few "brilliant" conversations with some naysayers in the day. Just a few years back a guy told me Yamaha leans their sleds out & blow up. He was referring to the 80's V-Max! Can you believe that? Another said Yams were ALWAYS the heaviest. I had to remind him of the SRX days when Yamaha's triple was lighter than the 2 cylinders.

It's too non-american, too high tech, no race team, too blue....waaa waaa waaa

I think there are too many people that buy the other sleds... especially Doo... because they can't think for themselves enough to see value in something different/better AND everyone they know has one of those [insert other non-Yamaha brand].
I could believe that. Or they want to ride what the pros ride. Well the pros are going to ride whatever brand gives them the best sponsorship and they don't give a crap if the machine is garbage.

He might of been talking about the new VK540. Its a know issue in cold climates that they are too lean from factory.

I will say there definitely is a fully designed japanese sled coming...patience to the faithfull..break out the popcorn!!!

"Fully designed Japanese sled"
Will it say made in Japan on it?
Or a partnership sled....

Heavy is good... My front pivot arm busted in half right down the middle literally. What held it together was the mount points. So when I took it out it fell apart in two pieces right in my hand.. scary...I didn't even know it was busted. The breaks had rust around them so it was a while that way. Being the Attak was built like a brick sh** house it kept going under me. Heavy can be good in the right places. I hit a few trees too ..rolled it and it keeps going.

Yamahas are tough #*$&@ sleds. My nytro rolled down a damn mountain and the only thing tweaked were the bars a bit. They are built to stay together that's for sure.

I'm sure there are new 100 percent japan designed sleds... known as prototypes. Ha

I've taken note to posts you've made in past on speculation threads and I am just curious what your background/credibility is to make the statements you do.

Yami isn't any worse then Ford Chevy etc. or any other thing were it's made here there everywhere then put together over there or here.. sold as Yami etc.
I want to buy a Vector XTX as my last sled before I get too old.. been riding an Attak for 10 yrs.. I'm 69 yrs now.. it would be my last sled and "made in Japan".. rugged machine ..don't care about turbos or any of the other stuff.. love the attak.. 18k miles of great joy.. power steering would be just the icing on the cake for me.. know anyone selling 2 vectors new? ltx and xtx? wife and I would love to upgrade..local dealers are pushing the hybrid stuff here only. don't want to deal with vectors, etc.
