I am with you. Nothing like a freshly groomed trail winding thru the forest. Not looking forward to burying the Apex in a snowbank. I can hardly lift the rear to get the wheel set under it. It is one heavy sled to move in the garage. Put a request to Santa for a lift kit for Cmas.
You got a lot more miles in the saddle then I have yet this season. Took mine out for a 10 mile run before we lost all the snow and was very happy with the performance. I can hardly wait to ride it on the trails. I have a map bag and muffs on the handle bars and the warmers were cranking heat...
I get flustrated every time I look under the hood. Tried to take the air box out once and gave up. Spent more time looking for the clip nuts that dropped out ended up duct taping them on. Just seems like a not of hassle to get to the battery or plugs. Dealer said it would be around $75 for...
If man can send a robot to pick up rock on Mars than surely someone will find a easy fix to make the hand warmers smoke! I got my gauntlets stuffed in the rear compartment but still waiting for enough snow. Hate to ride a new sled on marginally snow.
Going to try without studs and see how it rides. Been studing sleds since 1991 but thought I would like to try the paddle track without studs. My Son has a paddle track and rode it for 3 years without studs, however, I gave it to his girl friend to ride this year and has studded it claiming he...
Last year the Rev Guys were all looking for rings....Thats down time. Sled is in shop motor apart can"t ride. Now handwarmers are an inconvience but no down time. So lets just ride and enjoy it!
I put in a request to Santa for a Battery Tender and plan on attaching the adapter to the battery premantly so I can plug it in periodically. I would think after a days ride it should be at full charged. Especially a new battery there should be any problem, but after a couple years then...
Once it is removed you will find you can"t see anything anyway. The real challauge is getting the air box off. I dinked with it for an hour and finally gave up. Had the windshield off, the headlight out , hoses disconected and still couldn"t get it to budge. Ended up lose one of those clip-on...
I just picked up two sets of Woody Duelley"s also. But not installed yet waiting for some snow. However used them on my Polaris last couple years and they bowed a little too. Didn"t cause any problem they should be fine.
I think the ER is only @12.5" And the Mid size is 14.5". I replaced mine with a mid size and gained about 1 3/4 to 2". Measure from top of Speedo to top of windshield. I have"t had a change to ride it with the mid-size yet...no snow. Looks like it should work ok heightwise. Debated on the...
I would get a duplicate set of stickers. If you get stopped the DNR or Sherfic will hold you up check registration along with everyone in your riding party could give a breathizer test. Possible question the noise of one of the sleds. Could end up losing an hour or so riding time. Could end...
I have a 12 drive on/off Triton Clam shell. Great trailer quality built and tows great. Sold a 2000 12ft v-nose drive on/off that was a real drag to haul. The triton you hardly know it's back there.
Sitting here watch a few flakes trying to cover the green grass and thinking " I would love to hear some track noise about now" That would mean I would be riding.
Spring snowcheck paid $8900. Sounds like a good price. I'd grab it if that what you want. I don" think you will see many of them carried over for next season. My dealer is trying to get a few more and is hoping a few dealer that may have some inventory will sell them to him.
J B Weld is great stuff. My son hit my pontoon three years ago sitting in the yard with ski on his sled and punched a hole in one of the pontoons. Used J B Weld and have had no problem with Pontoon leaking.
I would think you would have known what a set of plugs cost by now. I've rode since 1971 and always carried a set of extra plugs. I bought a box for my sleds at snow show time for around $45 and that was before I got my sleds delivered. Plugs are like slides and carbides just maintance items.
Ski-dog is probably right. Everyone keeps telling us about how much weight we carry. It's important that Yahama keeps reducing the weight a little at a time on these wuntons, because all the critics will soon be standing in line to get one of these high preformance 4 strokes, especially if we...
My dealer said he had a couple GT's yet to delivery. They bought some scratch sleds to sale as is from a warehouse with full warrenties but they are pretty much out of stock of Yamahas. Got one Vector and one Rage on floor. Said they were waiting for some of the dealers to start getting...
I just ordered a couple sets of Xenon bulbs from Power Bulbs.com for @$28.50 US. They have Osram , Philips and Power Plus brands. I ordered the Power Plus buy one pair for 28.50 and get one free. This was a current deal on the site. They claim 30 to 50% more light than standard bulb. They...
