Those are good mileages. I wish we could do the stud deal around here more but they get chewed up in a ride. Too much tar and concrete crossing on the trails.
Have never experienced that problem but it sounds similar to a bad servo on an atv.
Testing the two gear relays is just a continuity check.
The servo check is a little more difficult as you may here it spin when power goes to it but it may spin the wrong way. It requires getting a look...
I have never seen one melt with a Skinz silencer. If you are uncomfortable just matching it up send them an email. There customer service from my experience is second too none.
I'd also put the cap on. It seems to help the longevity of that bearing. It keeps the ice off the inside seal of it.
Part # 8FN-47377-00-00 Its on anything 2010 and newer track drive 1 fiche.
There is a grommet that sits in the back side of the chain case. We have seen about a dozen of them leak. The part number is 90480-10012-00 or on the "track drive 2" parts fiche it is part 74.
If you have reverse. I have yet to see a non reverse model leak yet.
We have a few on some sleds and they seemed to help. Also switched a couple over to the jet black Polaris wheel from PU and that worked good.
They released 200 of the new slides the other day. Out of the 30 sets ordered we had 1 come in. Hopefully they have them the first week or two in...
It is a bad design. They are contemplating cutting off covering these under the YES plan. Remember in the US you have a 32 month emissions warranty from the date you bought the sled. If they are bad I would make sure your parts get covered under this warranty.
Bad plug, plugged pilot jet, valves out of spec.
The choke should tell you if it is in the carbs. If your cleaning the pilot jets compressed air isn't good enough anymore. Soak them in combustion chamber cleaner and then hit them.
Check your speedo side bearing. That and donuts have been our big failures this year. I would also check all the wheels if they have not been replaced.
If any of you guys are running a 2010 Apex LTX I was wondering what type of hifax mileage you were seeing? Also when it was wearing did it seem to be in the front or the standard rear type wear.
Also if you are running any type of mods to help with that wear what they are?
I am seeing...
They had a part problem. I think they had problems getting ski's. We just got two vectors that had been slated to be delivered in October. They are on their way!
You can purchase a YES contract as long as you are still in your warranty period. If you are not I would recommend a call to customer service and nicely explain they never offered it to you or informed you about it. They may make you take it to a dealer for inspection but will more than likely...
I am a service manager for a Yamaha dealer and I can tell you first hand YES will save you money more times than not. Even if you do the work yourself your still going to have to buy the manual and some special tools for big jobs. Pretty easy to get a $300 plus into that right there.
Plus I...
Nothing is too accessible on the phazer! 6.6 hrs flat rate so you are gonna have to take a few things apart to get to the starter gear.
Some V-Star bikes have had issues with the one way bearing also.
Kinda like the other fellas said I would be checking the fan or checking for ice buildup.
Have noticed on a few of the phazers that they like to warm up until they are broken in. Kinda attributed that to a super tight motor from the factory.
Couldn't rule out too much straight antifreeze...
