I did 12,000 too , in the last 8 seasons that is . Did 1800 and I'm proud. The warrior was just too much fun-actually like it better every time I rode. Once you learn how to ride the sled there are no substitutes , everything else just feels outdated. Zero problems too !

Lazy , I'll agree on the engagement point you made , but not on the shift out . A 1000 mile 8dn will go to 10k and pull to 10 three on top . But guess what , the sled has less acceleration vs. a new 8dn that rev's to 10k , pulls back to 9300 and pulls back to 10 three . Follow all that ? Speeds...

The thing is clutched to shift hard anyway , I wouldn't touch it . My warrior ,stock , ingages at 3900 R's . I'd be happy with 2900 , hell the motor can do it I'm sure.

The track was the best I ever experienced , what a joy to have traction all the time ,all winter long . However , a least on the Warrior , it was very loud . In fact track hum at 30-35 mph is silly loud, like an airplane coming down the trail .

1300 miles , used about 2 ounces since 500 mi. initial change. Broke it in the right way, my way that is.

Bob , have Warrior too and I've proven the same . Actually it's where the engine temp. is ,not how long you've riden. Consecutive top end runs will result in less speed ,to a point, each time. They need more cooling capacity for sure , though I've never seen the hot light while doing this , but...

Agree , the RX requires very little choke ,even when it's very cold . After the 1st start of the day I've never needed it again , 20 below and all . Man, 3rd set of plugs !!! That would start to bend me out of shape.

Have an 04 Warrior too , the sled is not a top end machine. For starters , you'll be hard pressed to find a ski that carves as deep as the Warrior blades . I mean ,that thing digs a good 1" deeper than most short tracks , but we need it to turn , right ? Secondly , the Warrior track is deep...

The Warrior handles fine , I have stock ski's and I can still rip through the corners. I ride with ZR's SXR's and srx's , no problem, I can ride the same trail with little effort. My only variation from stock : pulled in limiters about 1 inch . It will hardly lift the ski's, but hook up is...

Everyone please check your performance as the sled heats up in low snow conditions. My temp. light never came on after successive top end runs , but I did spit out some liquid and never again was able to hit my initial run top speed . I believe I lost about 5 mph on top as the engine heated up.

The big thing here is how little HP the sled makes pre-turbo . It just has to be a slug along the trail.

I agree the ice build up is like nothing I've ever seen . What's really incredible the noises the thing makes cold as the ice works its way out down the trail . I'm going for the Pam !

Robx , well stated , and due to many improper dealer set ups, I believe there are many more out there with air in the systems - I've seen too many rx's with hot lights coming on .

Bob Miller are you getting over 10,500 and holding it ? or do you get 10,500 back to 9500 and back to 10500 after a distance ? My Warrior does the latter .
