2008 Minnesota TY ride###CANCELLED AGAIN###

Hotel is located on the east side of town, 1501 1st St E, Park Rapids, MN
They are holding 15 rooms for TY which will be released 30 days prior to the ride if nobody has reserved them, so make the call as soon as you can to make sure we get enough rooms for everyone. Be sure to tell them you are with the TotallYamaha group.
Rides will be on Friday and Saturday with possibly a short ride on Thursday for those that arrive early enough.

Please post here if you plan to attend and how many just so I can keep track of the number attending.

I don't see anything but the standard annual trail pass on the DNR web site $16 for the whole season probably not worth having anything else for that money. Hell by then it will only be the price of 2 gallons of diesel fuel lol.

Will probably put on between 100 - 150 miles each day may even do short loops for some and longer loops for others depending on how many attend and how much they want to ride. We normally eat lunch somewhere along the way and try to get back around dinner time. Then eat drink and be merry

It is too bad this ride and the Mantioba ride were not closer together a guy might be able to make both on one trip.

I am working on some route ideas (I live by Park Rapids) I will try to have something for a shorter and a longer ride. Itasca State Park will probably be one of the destinations.

Any ideas put them up.

Could go over towards Walker and continue on towards Cass Lake. Riding is also pretty decent up towards Two Inlets. I'll go through my trail maps to see if I can maybe figure out some routes. Might have to send Convert on some scouting routes

It's actually fairly close. The following weekend is when I plan to head to Manitoba. I'm planning to do this ride and spend the following week riding around here as well, then drive the 5 - 6 hours up to Beausejour and spend another week riding up there Come on down Rod you and Carol can ride with us all week and then we can head up to Manitoba right from here.

LOL thats the spirit. I think once the snow gets here us locals should get together and discuss routes etc.. Itasca, Bemidji, Cass Lake are all great options I definitely plan on doing some practice runs before hand as well as checking into the various clubs grooming schedules for this season so we time it right.
