Will report back when I have an update from the dealer.
2017 LTX-LE. Approx 12 belts in 2000 miles. Blew first belt at about 3-400 miles. Clutches have always ran very hot and are peeling the belts apart. I've tried:
-stock clutching
-aftermarket clutch components
-updated secondary rollers (Got rid of flat spots)
-replaced 1 primary roller bushing that wore
-adding a shim behind secondary
-removing all shims behind secondary
-breaking in belts 25+ miles
-8JP
-8DN
-Ultimax
-straight edges, calipers, micrometers, parallels, indicators
-different belt deflections (belt height in secondary)
-keeping clutches clean & working/moving freely
I don't have a lot of faith in my dealers tech, he told me today that he hasn't heard of any winders with this problem. So that's why I'm posting this info, in case anyone has anything at all that will help.

I had major issues like you. Blowing belts. Not as many as you have.
My dealer replaced the stationary halfs of both clutches this summer. Other then that you have tried everything.

BS. It may not be an epidemic, but there are enough people that have had belt issues to make note of it.
Hopefully, they take care of you and it gets figured out.

When I start my ride I always go easy to warm up my belt, maybe first 10-15 minutes then I ride normally fast lol.

A buddy just got a 17 dx 137, and the belt blew at 100 miles. He said it didn't feel right, as if flat spotted, so while slowing from 110 + to let his friend on a cat turbo (zookie) catch up, it blew.

What is the secondary set at? I had to crank mine up 10 degrees from stock or it would slip the belts real bad and they would blow at about 400 miles. Now I just change them around 1200 miles and they don't look bad.

The 8DN is an apex belt. How can that be tried? Isn't it a lot shorter (or longer, I forgot without looking, but they aren't close)Will report back when I have an update from the dealer.

8JP is the oem viper/sw belt
8DN is the oem most every other yammy
The 17641 number is the same on both so it must mean 'belt"...lol
