Dalton New products.

Numbers are on the helix(0,3,6,9) from Dalton too....Add the numbers together x 10%(IE": 3+3=6 X 10%= 60 degrees)

yes 3-3(60 degrees) should be where you want it, especially with the new sec springs we have avail now. Last season we did not have any, so we all tried 70 degrees to try to get more bottom end rpms. New springs will be a world of difference.

You "twist" the helix Clockwise, rolling the ramps onto the rollers....when installing it. These are pretty easy to do without a tool if you dont have one. Unlike the doos which compression rod tool really is needed.

Notice the BLUE markings on stock helix and sheave, these blue marks are the STOCK settings for tangs, 3-3 is shown here.

Here are some pics of tangs and numbers on helix...

Agree.....I have always had the best experiences with Dale at Dalton.

Things get to me fast here in Ontario too. Always surprises me how fast. Got my B/O and 39/35 helix super fast last week, and the new DTYA1s will be here tomorrow, so my experimenting with other clutch components is over, back to what I like best.

Love how the B/O torsional pressure at 6/1 is right in that zone of 14-16psi.

Hi guys, just came back Monday night and when I got in,my Dalton O/B secondary spring was there on counter. Thanks Dale, now to remove some weight and get my rpms back to 9000 rpms,my boost pressure on my Koso x-2 is a tad high, but terry stated,it may be that way unless I size down my line, but its all good, now at least I know I am getting all I paid for, gauge reads 16.5 to 17 and its suppose to be 14.9 so its all there and my A/F is 11.7 WO and sled pulls hard, even though it was only pulling 8000 rpms WO on a 1/2 mile run on one of our local lakes,on crappy wind blown snow/ice it was still Gpsing 117 on stock 8jp belt, and when I had just my 8dn belt on,no other changes it was only good for 113 gps,so Dan you are correct 4 mph difference between two belts, all things the same,8000 rpms 113 8dn,8000 rpms 8jp 117 gps, with in 1/2 hr between belt changes temps around 30 degrees F yesterday snow wind blown hard, some ice in between, spinning hard,to much weight in primary,83 grms on 30/90 ulmer pink spring,STM straight 38 secondary on stock yellow spring at 70 degrees, love how that 38 pulls hard. Oh ya,my 8.5 rear wheels are coming out, they are hitting the transfer rad so hard,it is tearing up the wheels, and rubbing big bump in rod. Loss of speed there and grandpar wind screen on. lol

I can see the 8DN being my trail ride/hi mile belt.....and then have an 8JP for radar running ect. Its alot tougher if you ride with other turbos though, lucky for me I ride with all 2s and being out front is a breeze.

My Ultimax text did not last long at all.....albeit the clutching was not what it should have been.

is anyone running the dalton orange spring in a stock sidewinder? or are they for tuned sleds only

What wrap should I use in a stock mtx? I also have qay 66 weights in it that are empty. And stock primary spring and stock 35deg helix with yellow spring. Wrapped at 3/3.
