Early dyno reports (850R)

Lets take a moment out of our day to give this a view and do everything we can to discredit him. Valve cover has never been removed. Completely stock turbo, etc. I watch him purchase and modify for a year now.

I ran a small sector of business for a company, 80% of the business came from 20% customer base.
Ran my own company the same thing applied.
I can also break down where material costs, and how 80% of the material was bought from one vendor. Purely incidental.
Actually I have a whole host of things that you won't be able to explain.
I'm sure you'll just dismiss it.
I only post up because I know there are business people here that can review some of their findings as well.
Typically when this happens you have no comment
. However I still enjoy your responses here.
80% of sleds will go unmolested, not even close to possible. Hmmm hahaha
Note: every rule has exceptions or variations.

I have no idea what you are talking about. If someone states something that is factually or correct in principle why would I comment. I comment when I can add value to a thread, share a life lesson, or provide insights, typically one or more of these will come from an engineering perspective as I have been lucky enough to develop products or manage teams developing products across a wide variety of industries across software and hardware systems.

As to the 80/20 rule, its called the Pareto principle. It basically states that 80% of all outcomes are a result of 20% of the effort put into creating the outcomes. Or another way to look at it is the first 80% of any project is 20% of the effort and the last 20% is 80% of the effort. It is the somewhat predictable outcome of time management, focus, or capabilities of an individual or a company. It is also as effective a way to manage time and focus as it is a self-made trap. When I stated that the examples given were a misuse of the Pareto principle it is because the examples (mine - intentionally made up and included as an example) do not past the test of that 80% of outcomes are a byproduct of 20% of the effort rule, they are not what is commonly referred to as a 80/20 rule.

80/20 rule is a phenomenon. And cannot be completely explained by natural law.
Something about the 80% Harley riding and engineering background had me believing Something else. Sorry, I'm glad we agree.
Hahaha..... Its all good.

140 is achievable , stock motor, stock turbo and by no means is a record these days.

I didn't know, that's crazy fast!
When we look at goals, which I have been, I see myself gravitating in this direction.
I haven't spent any insurmountable amount of money to go in any one direction.

133+/- mph on pump gas tune (ice)
@ 1320'
NYTurbo, are those figures out of line?

The guy in the video is running the race gas map from TD .
Yeah, wasn't trying to sell it as something it's not. Definitely 330tune is his claim.
Also claims a bad h/gskt is just around the corner.

Not if keeps it above 8400 and doesn’t blow a belt which may spit a valve shim or rattle the head

I've seen many 998s on our 1320' ice track. If you're running 133 on pump gas tunes with a trail track you are doing very well. Our track is right beside the OFSC trail. Most 270, 290, 300 tuned strictly trail sleds will be lucky to run 125.

That’s correct
What et though?
That’s the big ??????
ET isn't something we are concerned with up here being speed runners. I want it to take as long as possible so I have more time to build speed.

What would be a good ET in 1320 on a trail track? Who cares what kind of fuel. If I remember correctly I'm generally mid to high 9s.

I think he had a speed track? If so can be doable on good ice and a cold day. And a bit of a tail wind helps allot :).

We don’t run that far. 1000 ft is all.
Et matters here as everything has pretty much gone to 500 ft in snow racing.

I'd have to go back and watch his other videos. Definitely a shorter track.
Also he doesn't disclose they ran that gun against the lights and I thought it was a about 1mph off.
He's really not a race guy. He does motor transplants and all different kinds of stuff. All in all the guys seems pretty legit.
