Swiss Sledder said:Route #3 (the south junction loop) is only 300 miles. We did that exact same loop from the Glen Howard back in Feb 2008 with Sasquatch. It was -38 in the morning so we didn't leave the hotel until 10:00. We were back at the Glen Howard at 21:00. We stopped for lunch in Richer and dinner in Falcon Lake.
Note though he has it routed through the Whiteshell past up past Elenor Lake. We cut out at towards Elma and went what I think is a little shorter and a whole bunch faster way.
Remember the eclipse of the moon that night just north of Whitemouth in the field we stopped to admire it.

out!
I believe our 1st ever TY Ride had about 20 plus sleds...check out the Group photo's from past rides
All Yamies most years...except this funny Black/Green model with a rather Huge Rider one year
Ya everyone doubted that ole cat! I think bets where even in on when it was going on a rope. But it survived and is still running strong even after the big guy rode it hard. Would have rather had my Yami with the ZX2 in the back for that section north of the angle that wasn't groomed. Oh my aching back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man that was brutal.

Anyway Blustar I'm in! I love this ride and missed it sorely last year. Sickened by the thought that it may die. You look to be gung hoe and in charge so my hat is off to you and you have my help.
I can guide or follow, I'm not native to Manitoba but have rode the trails and have the tracks on my gps. I can show up a day ahead and help brainstorm and go over the planned rides ect.
If you have questions or wish to talk I'll pm my phone number and email to you so you can get ahold of me.

Oh yeah, I remember stopping on the trail just outside of Falcon Lake and taking some pictures of the moon. Then riding after Falcon Lake and watching the eclipse take place before our eyes. That was an awesome day.Sasquatch said:Remember the eclipse of the moon that night just north of Whitemouth in the field we stopped to admire it.

Like always with my job I wont know if I can go until much closer to the ride date. If we (Carol, Thereon and myself) can make it we will go and I will let you know as soon as I know for sure. Just the way it is with my job.

...Absolutely.........Hows the riding up your way?...as Rosemary and myself are thinking of coming up up that way this winter, and riding the Boggy Creek, San Clara & Sara Lake Road area as I remember seeing Plackers up when we were elk hunting

Darn it you better do it when I am here. I grew up in San Clara till I was 14 and I can show you some trails in this neck of the woods. The San Clara bar and gas station is shut down now so no gas and snacks there any more. You can get gas and food at Roblin, Childs Lake, Madge Lake, Kamsack and Grandview. Stu and Dianne have moved to Foam Lake from Edmonton as well so we are planning to meet with them this winter and do some riding as well. You were that close and you didnt call me was that this fall when you were hunting elk? We have elk, moose, bear, deer within a mile of where we live just love it. I already tagged out my buck this year now I am after my doe.

No that was a couple of years ago while I was still guiding that area...Diid you get a nice Buck?
Rosemary had a chance with her bow at a nice 6x6 bull around the 300 class at under 20yds and then missed a real nice bear on the ground at 7yds with her bow but don't tell her I told you or she will kill me

Count me and the misses in. We will be staying up at the cottage for that week (Lee River by the twin rock piles), so our accomodations are taken care of. Blustar, if you need any help let me know.
