My RTX LE 50th BUILD THREAD-ROCKERDAN

Dan, put my ski loops on my Pilots today...quick question, I snugged em up tight...no play in the handles-they're tight on the ski-they don't move. Is that ok? Or should I loosen them??

Can you just swop bov's that easily
Isn't the sidewinder bov tied into the electronics somehow to monitor its operation.
What can you share here.

Btw, sled is Lookimg sweet
I bet the red panel swop was a pain but it looks good

Dan, i'm hearing the iphone X is not operating in cold temps very well. I purchased one of these heater elements from Leaders that should fit right into that Arkon case and it powers up with an RCA jack just like we use on a heated shield. There are multiple sellers on ebay such as... https://www.ebay.com/i/263244429001?chn=ps&dispctrl=1
Apple will have a software update. I sorta expected some glitches early on with the new iPX.

Ill repeat this again, I am only going to mount up my phone/case for testing, to verify live data, boost ect, and likely radar/gps days....normal riding I will NOT be running the live date/phone setup. Not worried about the phone/cold and screen issue at all.

Dan, did you tighten down the went tube spout on top of the BOV? Mine was loose. Also the port that exits the side was loose too. Weird. Now I’m really looking forward to getting that leak checker!

Not sure if you meant stock BOV?

I did tighten down the TS BOV for sure, all 3 attachment points on the TS BOV are threaded and use a O-ring to seal when tightened. I lined up the top small vent nipple to the angle I wanted, and then tightened it down there(1/2" 6 point socket). The other two connections also got a good hand tightening, to bottom out the O-rings.

A couple pics for those installing one of these TS BOVs.

Thanks Dan, that’s exactly what I was hoping to see! I tightened down the nipple on top, but am going to take it all apart and check the other 2.

Did you find the stock pinch clamp on the top vent line inadequate? The hose is pretty loose on there with the clamp on

Is there any merit to using white plumbers tape on the thread for better seal of these threaded parts?
MS

No, they are o-ringed. You'd only use teflon tape on tapered pipe threads.

Agree it not super tight, but I believe its ok....Could always tweak is abit to get more clamp power. I think cause its a SS nipple, where as stock one is plastic, is seems to spin easier.
