Yeah I would have liked them....But at least with black you never need to worry about a good match of color tone, and when the black ones are armor all'd up nicely, they look great.Shame we cannot get them in red now.

Art, damn bud that looks great! One thing I love about selling the DOO and being on this sled, its so darn sexy looking! BRP XS I liked OK, but now their G4 design is just so utility looking....Not sexy AT ALL!Dan, my mom said I can't play with you any more. "He's a bad influence" whatever that means.
This is now window #6 if you count the fact I sold my original SE and have a Yamaha Mid Sport on back order. Plus the hand guards, apparently I "needed" the LED lighting and the BRP clear ones I had were no longer functional.
Oh, at least I can't blame the blue LEDs on you, though I tried, those were already there . . .

So your pics just look spectacular! These Procross LED gaurds are truly the "cats #*$&@"! haha
I think the SE window is best overall for Looks vs protection, and ease of access to the ignition key. I have mine ready to go on when coolest temps arrive.
Looks great bud!

Ski's - BRP Pilot 6.9
Most of you have seen the write-up I did on this install last winter on my bud Tom's sled. So I wont go into all the detail again, and will link that thread to this post.
My Detailed pilot 6.9 install thread: https://ty4stroke.com/threads/pilot-6-9-skis-installed.146599/
I pulled them off my 1200 Doo and I'm running them this season with Woody's 8'' Executive carbides(center) #WSD 9500 , which I got from CB Performance. Stock 4" square bars outers.
Just a couple pics......

Actually that stock window is clear ....the lower part does have some darker sections though. I have the SE window ready to go, as I really liked that overall when demo riding Winders. Mostly cause of the easier access to ignition key. Its very tight to get to key with LE window.lolsled looks mean with the black windshield...skis and handguards....love the work you did with the graphics....truly artistic!

RED Instrument panel
After the graphics on much of the white side panels where I figured would get dirty easy from knees, The one area left that was white plastic is the panel that butts up to the fuel tank/seat on sides, and continues up to where the heated seat switch is.
Couple weeks ago I decided to price up a RED panel from last seasons Red/White LE models. Was quite surprised to see this entire panel was only 35 bucks at Babbitts. So this was a no brainer. Ordered it up and finally got it installed here. I really like the look alot, and it should help keep alot cleaner(show less dirt).
You need to swap over the swivel latches, and seat heater switch. I was never a fan of heated shield(RCA PLUG)being solid mounted to sled.(50th) Had that on my Mach Z many yrs ago and found it will unplug when riding aggressive, so BRP later came out with a short cable with 90 elbow on it, which does help some, to not pull out when riding aggressively but I've seen those scratch up the sled.
So I was very happy to not reinstall the RCA plug(on the 50th LE) on the new instrument panel, and just install my tried and true RCA cable that comes from HJC, also much easier to plug into in the dark as you can grab it. I ran this back, under seat to the rear accessory plugins that come off heated seat cable near battery.

Great choice going with the new red panel. That really gives it a more finished look along with not having to keep the white panel that was there clean.
Low, clean, and mean. IMHO these SideWinders are really the nicest and most aggressive looking sleds on the snow.
It won't be much longer until we're riding instead of installing parts!

iPhone X for "live data" from your flasher cable
On my 12 cat, the boost gauge was one of the first things I added. I loved seeing my boost PSI for each map, and also be certain I had no leaks. It was alot of work to install, as it was old school.
With the new flasher cable, we get live data from the cables BT module to a BT connected device via the GAP flasher APP. Not only will we get boost, we will get a plethora of other live data items. For now I wanted a secure, weatherproof case for my new iPhone X. With iPhone X and its large screen(On parr with "plus'' models) due to its edge to edge technology, I felt this would be plenty large enough for live data, as I did not want to opt for the iPad mini setup and move stock gauge cluster. If I did not have my beloved 7" Garmin GPS on the crash pad, I likely would have mounted this right there.
So I opted for a Ram ball mounted to the bottom of riser(which stays in place permanently) and then a short ram arm, and a ram ball with TEE fastener, which attaches to the ARKON case. After some hours of research, it quickly became apparent in the motorcycle world reviews, that the ARKON brand cases were top notch, and all had great reviews. You can opt for the standard handlebar connection, but I wanted mine lower so went with the ram ball with 1/4-20 stud. Used a lockwasher and nut on it, with loctite. Much easier to install if you drop the riser by removing lower clamps.
This setup allows for quite alot of adjustability, I can run the phone very low just above heated seat switch, or much higher right near my GPS....Ultra solid mount as only RAM can be. I will not run this full time so I am simply running off battery in phone for short periods, testing, and radaring ect....likely wont run it on trail ect as phones done like cold and battery life shortens fast....A charging cable, pad, or heating element ect will all go a long way for those who want it full time.
ARKON makes different cased for diff size phones, so be sure you are getting the one that works for you. I opted for the model which also works with iP plus models..., and will work with the new X model well. Also includes two diff thickness foam inserts for thicker/thinner phones and different phone cases. Not bad for 26 bucks or so.

Drilled the 1/4" hole low in riser center...removed it to make it easier to get at the nut to tighten it.
Endless positions to put phone at, very sturdy product by ARKON.

Boost leak testing(All credit to Beerman)
After a few conversations last winter, I was fairly certain I would opt for an aftermarket BOV, as it had been said the stock BOV starts to seep around 17psi. So knowing I will be wicking up the boost shortly, I decided to grab a TurboSmart BOV.(part number below)
That being said, Ben and a few others have found leaks on some sleds over the past yr. Not all, and likely very few....but felt it would be nice for my OCD mind to know I have no leaks. So when beerman came up with the tester, I was all in. As you all know by now...Art has been kind enough to make up two testers and will be sending it around to anyone who wants to test their own. For US guys who want to use his tester Yankees Go Here , And for our Canuk brothers who want to use the leak tester, Canuks Go Here.
I have it now, and got my testing done today....I will say right off the bat, that mine had no leaks. What I found interesting is mine did not let go of any PSI(quickly) all the way up to 30psi. I had to hold the clutch at TDC as 30psi would want to turn the crank. lol
Now, I will also say my stock BOV held just fine, and the PSI does seep down slowly, which I believe is normal after watching Art's video. However mine does not seem to let go as his did in his video, which we think may be cause mine is brand new with ZERO MILES on ticker.
I installed the BOV I got from TurboSmart as I know I will be wicking up the boost soon, Just a few pics below and also a few of the tester. See this post for detailed info before installing the TurboSmart BOV
Huge shout out to Beerman, thanks Art!

Dan, i'm hearing the iphone X is not operating in cold temps very well. I purchased one of these heater elements from Leaders that should fit right into that Arkon case and it powers up with an RCA jack just like we use on a heated shield. There are multiple sellers on ebay such as... https://www.ebay.com/i/263244429001?chn=ps&dispctrl=1

iPhone x is a dud as of right now, no cold weather operation and very fragile. Ticks me off as I have one as well.
Amazing quality in the build lots of awesome bolt on parts, very cool. I am not a huge fan of seeing the red through the 1/4 turn fasteners on the tank shroud though. Personally the huge gps, and additional phone etc on the handle bars is a safety concern for me. One its distracting and two if you were ever in an accident I feel these could gut you on your way over the bars. Remember Tony from Vin Bon years back?

Nice thread. I really like the structure of it with the parts list and quick links at the front. I've done a bunch of build threads and they're always a pain to find what you're looking for.
Very nice job with the graphics on the knee area. Looks great.
