Brent, how is your sandale now working out,it sounds better than your track. The left (clutch) side extrovert is definitely closer to the inside edge of the track windows in comparison to the right side (exhaust)
Maybe 5mm gap between the right side driver and inside of the window and 1mm or less from the left side extro driver to inside track window

Yes,i tighten them down so you cant move them with a hand wrench, much tighter than what woody suggests. You think so? I used a torque wrench and tightened them to the woodys spec of 15'lbs or 180" lbs. should they be tighter?

Ya,brent, now I do feel its your drivers hitting track clips, when I had time on my hand,i ground down my extrverts because I could see where they would rub,but mine never sounded that bad, like someone stated, just run it,and see if after a while they don't wear in,and it starts to quiet itself. It’s a brand new track.

Good news!
230 miles today trouble free! Thanks to everyone who chimed in with advice. Sure do appreciate all of you!! Seems the drivers worked themselves in like many of you said.
You know how you over analyze things when it comes to sleds?! It’s a short season and expensive sport so the thought of breaking down and being the heel that ends your buds trip makes you want to triple check everything! Then when you hear the gawd awful clicking that I did, it makes the mind so crazy things when it can be something so simple!
Anyway, the track worked awesome. So much snow in Quebec. 270 hurricane tune worked flawless. Really happy with the grip of this cobra track. Had one on my apex and had good luck with it.
Will look at re aligning drivers when I get back.
Have a great weekend everyone !

Couple of pics that might be useful if you’re going to adjust the drivers. These are the 10T x 2.52 pitch that cat sells with the axle as an assembly

I'll have a stock Sidewinder drive out tomorrow and take a few pics to show you how they compare. As I said in my first post, the service manual specs are OK, but put the extroverts very close to the outer edges of the window. Compare my measurements to the image I originally posted. I like the spacing of the Cat drivers better.
If you're going to play around with the spacing, be very careful. I've never pressed a set of drivers that take this much force to move, and you can bugger them up pretty quickly. I'd suggest you leave the assembly outside for an hour before attempting to press them.

No problem. Don't take this as gospel just yet. I'm going to post some more pics tomorrow of a set of drivers I've set up as per the Yamaha spec, installed in a sled. I'll also drop these drivers into a track for comparison. I think the 205mm spacing (Yamaha spec) is better than where these drivers are (about 202mm), but the initial offset of these (72.75mm) is better than the Yamaha spec of 70.95mm.

Had a chance to ride my sled yesterday and the noise doesn't exist anymore. But when it was new it was VERY noisy. I think it was the drivers just like yours, and the LTX has this 1.6 cobra track.Sounds like the same noise my 19 ltx makes with that track, but, like you, I haven't pin pointed exactly where it's coming from.
Guess I owe you a beer! Glad it was just the drivers. Holy cow that was loud!Good news!

Rather than taking everything apart and take a chance on screwing up the drivers trying to press them one way or another does it make sense to machine just a little bit off the drivers so they line up better. Like with a Dremel or something like that. That is what is happening anyway. You are using the track itself to wear the drivers to the point where they don't rub.

I thought so buddy.....these sleds are always loud initially with track noise. Great to hear your trip is going well. These sleds are killer when all is going well.
