UPDATE September 8. - Working on the tank covling.....
Have not been working much on my sled lately. Our kids have their birthdays few days apart, there were a lot of work arranging that. Had to help wifey out in the house during "birthday season" and of course to keep up the goodwill on my sled projects, wifey is very understandig when it comes to me and my sleds
Actually what's done lately is done by my good friend Mikkel. He has the tank covling undergo it's final treatment before painting it black and finally he will add clear paint on top of the black.
Here's what it looks like before adding the final layers of black and clear paint.
I think it's coming out pretty cool. Can't wait to see the tank covling finished and installed on my sled
I have got all parts for the REV gas tank. Gas filter, hoses, couplings, ventilation, tank cap and so on. Will start installing the parts soon.

UPDATE September 9. - Installing parts on the REV gas tank.
I have got the parts for the REV gas tank. I bought the tank and the tank only, nothing came with it so I needed to buy the cap, a gas filter, piping internally in the gas tank, hose clamps, grommets, plugs and bends.
Here's a pic of parts needed to complete the REV gas tank.
First I installed the gas filter to the clear hose/pipe and added a hose clamp. Then I inserted the grommet onto the plug that goes thru the grommet and tank wall. Next I installed the plug onto the clear hose/pipe and installed another hose clamp. Finally I plugged the grommet into the hole and pressed the plug into the grommet. Done.... hope it doesn't leak ....
Second I installed the grommets for the fuel return and the venting of the gas tank. I had to drill out two 1/2" or 12.5 millimeter holes for the grommets. At last I installed the tank cap.
I'm working on re-routing a lot of the wireing up at the handlebars. RX-1 has all connections up at the bar. My plan is to move the connections down into the engine compartment like on th Apex's. To be able to do this I have split the wireing harness open. Next I have to cut the wires up at the handlebar and down in the harness under the hood. Then I will turn around the cables and plugs that I have cut off and solder the wires up at the bar and down under the hood to have all connection plugs down under the hood. The cables going up to the bars will be taped together and finally I will add a split plastic hoses like on the Apex's and mount all wires inside the hoses.
Routing of the gas line and gas return line has to be different than with the stock gas tank, gotta change out the hoses as they are too short, the REV gas tank puts the outlet and inlet further back requireing longer fuel lines.
My hood got a crack up front after a unfriendly meeting between my sled and my friends sled, I drove into the rear of his sled last season. Last work done was stripping down the hood. I have removed everything from the hood, it's ready for repair and painting.
I need the turbo parts soon to be able to make some progress.... well I could always fix the hood first, then fit the seat to the gas tank, change a few bearings and idler wheels in the ZX-2 skid, make the aluminum plate for the hole I cut out in the center of the tunnel, seems like I have a lot of work I can do...but I want to install the turbo .... hahaha

Hi there buddy and welcome to TY. Nice to see you lurking around in here Thanks for your kind remark, appreciate it. As you can see my sled has evolved a lot since you helped me out on the initial turbo install, the tunnel is still somewhat shiny. The Autosol metal polishing you recommended did pay off, I may have to do the treatment once more while my sled is in pieces.
I'll call you when I'm going out to wrench, pay me a visit anytime, it's turbotime .
BTW - how's your turbo phazer going?

I was wondering how the apex's got their bar wiring to fit into the wire loom and look nice. My plugs are getting close to peaking out from under the bar pad after my 3.5" bar risor.
I dont trust myself to do all the soldering and have it hold up bouncing through the trails. I can see my bar warmers shorting out at -20F and me getting frostbite again. Think you could make a extension harness from a old one?

obr - I will be home wrenching this weekend. Kids are going to their grandparents for the weekend and wifey studying phsycology (trying to figure me out hahaha) so I will be in the Turbo Garage a lot.
kinger - in the Apex all plugs are down under the hood, and that's how it's going to be in my RX as well, I will duplicate how it's done in my RTX almost to the T. Yes you could always make an extension, but it will be much better just extending the wires you already have in there, some work but the soldering will hold up just fine as long as you don't stretch the cables to much. My sled's gonna be the guineapig on the extensions.
Have done some work today, will post tomorrow night cause I didn't do much this evening either, sneip1fmx and my friend Odd Roger came by and we went on talking turbos for hours....needless to say... not much done

UPDATE September 10-15. - Re-routing handlebar wireing. A soldering project.
Besides the re-routing/soldering project I haven't done much lately, I've lost my will to wrench somehow, I guess, I need the turbo parts to wake up again, come on Dave at Powder Lites please ship my parts soon, I'm dying in here HAHAHA LOL.
Here's what's done lately.
I have installed the 4" PowerMadd riser and the '07 Apex handle bar I had on last season. The 1.5" PowerMadd pivot riser is gone, not needed anymore running a WildChild steering post which already have the T on top.
The first connection moved and soldered.
My soldering tool, a plain and simple, putting out 30Watts. I use a 1 millimeter solder with soldering paste inside. It works like a charm, no problem getting the wireing to stick.
In the work, splitting the wireing, connecting the wireing .... soldering, splitting wireing....... on and on and on
Got the turbo springs (It says "Black" on the tube) and billet T's from Hurricane Racing today, nice products
Thank you Dave for your fast business and shipping.
The soldering project continued ....
Here's what it looks like when most wireing have been relocated and soldered.
Finally done soldering.
I think it's going to look really nice adding a black split tube to install the wireing into
Gotta call Dave at Powder Lites cause I'm badly in need of some turbo parts.

Did you have the exact same color of wires to splice into the ones on the sled? Looks nice and clean, I should do that to mine, make it look a lot more modern to. Nice job, wiring like that will make ANYONE including you crazy man, lose the will to wrench! LOL I like making new circuits but that is just tedious boring work. Once you get the turbo parts your wife will have to drag you out of the shop for a little trist to calm you down

Thanks for the comments LOL, bet she will have to drag me to bed at night when the turbine arrives, LOL
I did not lengthen any of the wires. What I did was to cut the wires up at the handlebars and down as close to the harness as possible. I soldered the short piece up from the handlebar down at the harness and the long part from the harness got soldered onto the handlebars. This way all cable contacts connects under the hood
Next thing is to install a few spliced cable tubes (one from each side of the handle bars) in color black to match the color theme of my sled.
