Seat Time-Belt feedback after alignment with Hurricane Tool

Very nice and a great idea! I have a bunch of vents on the front of the belly pan now, and with the full wrap Prevost protector I'm not sure this would work as well (or at all) but I may give it a go after seeing these.

Great to hear that the Hurricane tool seems to be working well for those that have used it....anymore feedback is welcomed as well.

Well boys, I just put 100 miles on TD 300hp tune.......wow, wow, wow .....unbelievable, but that is the topic of another post!!!!

Back on topic, I've got a belt blower and rarely get 300 miles on a belt. This was my maiden voyage after using the Hurricane alignment tool. Had to remove 2mm from secondary hub to make it right and I must say belt temps are exponentially lower. I'm pretty stoked on the results and at this point I think belt issues are behind me. Still got some testing to do, but preliminary results are looking pretty good at this point.

To be fair, I also designed an air intake to assist with cooling and mounted at the same time I aligned clutches with Hurricane tool. Temps tonight were about 8 degrees so I know this helped too. At any rate, I did many, many pulls and clutches nice and cool....I'm really stoked!! If this doesnt cure my belt woes, it is definitely a step in the right direction.

I dont advertise for anyone....im just a nobody that likes to go fast. I couldn't spot Dave or Ben in a crowd of two, but I'll call an ace an ace....that tool was well worth the money imo!!!

Great to hear Fleecer. Heading up to your neck of the woods in two weeks(day after Xmas), hoping you guys hold on to your snow?? Can't wait. Thanks for the feedback!

I did ~~200/250km. NO long WOT testing.......

Offset 58,5 whit 1 shim behind. Realy close of the gauge .5 or 1mm. Reducing the float seems to work really well on backshift and hard braking. My "float" is set at ~~~2mm now! Whit Gforce cam it was 7-8mm float...

What do you mean by setting the "float"?

What do you mean by setting the "float"?
By playing some games with the spacers, machining and washers you can reduce or eliminate the float on the secondary. Mine is only around .2mm now. It was around 4mm. The thought is that the torque on the shafts is pushing the secondary out and out of alignment under load so some guys are reducing or eliminating it to see if it helps clutch and belt temps.

Hey fleecer, that material looks a lot like the material that connects to top of muffler,is it easy material to purchase?

It's actually the factory header cover. If you have a 17 winder this piece was replaced under recall. I kept the original, cut in half and made it fit.

Wow I do have a 17 never got the call for a recall on that.

Call dealer, eventually the original will crack.

Anyone get the chance to ride? Looking for some more feedback

I refuse to ride....im saving all my pennies so I can ride with all the TY BOYS from CT in a couple weeks!! ;)!

I'm guessing very few have enough miles on yet to give a full report/review. Myself included:(

I need to get over 700miles on before Ill know its better then before.....Sure hope winter kicks in soon, we need more then a foot to get system into shape. Probably be another crap season. Will go back to Qc in a heartbeat if need be, not far from me.

Just curious if anyone has compared offset obtained via the hurricane tool to the Yamaha spec? Please don't post any numbers in the thread out of respect for the vendor. Mine has not blown a belt and I'm just curious what the hurricane's tool setting equates to via the Yamaha measuring method. I'd like to compare to my sled.
