That is sweet for sure. Nice job! I don't believe I have seen a SW at night since last year the riding was less than stellar up here. How is the lighting vs. stock? Currently I am looking at HID vs LED but this with this there may be a new contender.

I have seen the sidewinder at night and it is cool and i like the look a lot! Guy in UP had one i seen on a trip we did. But everything i hear the LED's are weak at best on the winder and my experience with them supports that??? Now i would like to see the sidewinder headlight set up with HID's in it or a retrofit LED strip on the viper headlight to look like the winder. Thats a lot of money to spend on the cool V LED strip above the head lights if it could be done on the viper. But overall i love the mod and would do it for sure if not for the cost and then having to add HID's.

It was around $500 Canadian for the headlight and $50 for the wiring. So far it looks a lot brighter then my stock Viper headlight but I haven't had it out on the trail yet. Here are some pics and I will try to get more next weekend

I noticed that in the photos showing the headlight not lit, the retaining screws for the windshield are not installed. Did you need to fabricate a solution for the screw holes?

I have the Viper windy on my Sidewinder, so I think SR Viper just didn't get around to it....
The viper windy does fit the sidewinder, but the "wings" from the viper need to be trimmed. I would guess it is vise-verse for the Sidewinder windy on a viper.

Hey super1c, As you know I have both the Viper and Winder. The lighting (IMO) is better than the Viper. Would a kick but set up with HID's or LED's be the way to go? I'm thinking so if you want the best and brightest lighting out there.
I have white LED strips that I am going to try and duplicate the winder look on the Viper. I might even go blue LED strip lighting.

The blue sounds cool. I was looking at mine to see how I could get a LED strip in there but didn’t dig too far. Sounds like stock for stock the sidewinder headlight is way better then. Very nice.I have the Viper windy on my Sidewinder, so I think SR Viper just didn't get around to it....

I took apart my Viper headlight and tried to stick a light stripe to the inside of the lens and it just didn’t want to stick, even cleaned the inside of the lens with rubbing alcohol. The same strip sticks very well to most other vehicle headlights I tried. Ditched that idea and just drilled a few small holes and mounted tiny 1/2 Amber LED’s For clearance/safety lights. It a shame the strips didn’t stick well, it look great but I didn’t trust them to stay in place and didn’t want to have to pull the assembly apart again.

Very risky but Acetone will make anything stick to the lens. If you get it anywhere else on lens it will be ruined though for sure. Could also just drill small holes in reflector and stick LED strip behind it.

Using an RGB LED strip with any type of RGB controler will get you any color you want. The strip can be mounted face-down on top of the headlight assembly, hidden from sight.if you pull the plastic piece off that is mounted on top of the headlight and tape LED's to the top of the light facing down it works good.

So no weight difference from the viper headlight to the sidewinder headlight?
