TD max16 tune hits 20.5 lbs on hard accell is this normal

dennis what is a flasher,ya reason I posted this was so ben could chime in,if not I will call woody Tuesday, and yes it does feel stronger than my old tune, but does not spool any quicker.
My understanding of a flasher Pete:
Flasher is the device that is used to take the email file and download it to the ECU.(Called a flash ). It also allows one to check what flash has been downloaded in your ECU
, and other stuff like clearing codes etc.

FYI:
My Spool seems to run at 5 psi for slow speeds under 5K rpm. Some where over that rpm at around 6K, I see 10 psi. Anything Over that rpm and the boost goes up more.
Much quicker Spool then my previous ecotrail flash.
As (Possessed) stated, clutch set up and gearing can make it smooth/lazy down low or more choppy/throttle response on the throttle.
I am trying the 35/39 reverse angle Helix which is lazier/smoother down low and mid.
I did not like the stock 35 helix, too choppy or mean at this point, but my rpms were also low even after 2 weight changes.
Still need a day of testing to find MY sweet spot clutching.

Good luck Beast!

I have max spool 16 with stock muffler, Bov ,Cai and 3 bar map sensor. short pulls from 50 kph 17.1 psi boost pretty consistent. Hopefully conditions improve so I can try some longer pulls.

Mine is minus the CAI but your number is right around what I hope to see!
I have read that it is the same tune for both, sm and smm.

If we plan it we can all get together for a ride and I can bring my flasher and up eveyones tunes if needed. You would just need to sync up with TD and I can them put them on my flasher. Tunes are tied to SN#

There is a fee for upgrade flashes, much cheaper then an original flash though. I just had mine done but anyone with flasher can plug in a see what flash someone is running correct? This is what Woody uses Pete. It does take 2 separate plug ins to ecu with flasher I was told. First to get current info and once sent to TD his email flash can be added to ecu with flasher.

But thanks for the offer on using your flasher for whatever is needed.

That ride would be nice if all works out though!

My newest 3 bar
Max Spool 16 upgrade flash was called V24 or V25.

My buddy just upgraded to the maxspool 17 and 20, he is overboosting for sure. Not sure if it’s because of his new 3inch muffler but he is seeing 19psi on maxspool 17 and 23.5psi on maxspool 20. Looking at his logs, AFR is a tad lean for my liking, 11.7-12.0 but the sled is a beast. Much better then his last years eco but a pig on fuel
So on his new tune max 17 its a pig on fuel,or was that on max 20?

Snowbeast what are you running for a helix ??? Dennis and I changed sleds on a ride his feels sluggish on take off compared to my stock sled but that’s with stock gearing in mine and small trails plus he has 22 top gear and a different helix but his midrange is unreal I just got this tune from Woodys too I’m seeing 17.2 but that’s in a small field you may want to check to make sure it the right tune !!
Hi,ok all my clutching is still ulmers set up for my evo-4 flash I had,and it did have the sandale 3" full mod exhaust, now it has a woody mod stock muffler like what Dennis has,w/CAI 3 bar map sensor and TS BOV. Now helix is straight stm 38 with ulmers red spring and primary is red ulmer spring with stm ramps, and I have had a 22 top forever.

Yes dennis,at 5500rpms psi around 4to 5 that's about 50 mph speedo.

You guys look way too much into it lol...
That's the problem. With too much information.

The stock turbo can't make 20 psi with the stock WG setup on a stock muffler. That is just a spike in the reading. It will not sustain 20 psi.
Max spool 16sm is a great tune enjoy.

As for the max spool 17 and 20 yes they will spoke which is normal and intended. Gives the snappy feeling. No problem enjoy.
