17 rtx le Changed my spring to 2-3 set up ( all stock otherwise)and rode in the up this weekend. Non nearly as snappy feeling this way. Conditions were terrible ranging from slush and dirt to hard pack heavy snow My rpms dropped as speed increased and settled at 8450-8500 with a top speed of 96mph. Stock apex was right next to me or a sled length behind the whole way. NEver got to run 3-3 in good conditions so I don’t know if sled is a dog or not. Got to get this figured out!!!
I was out in the same conditions , with all stock set up , and sled was awesome again.
I was also riding with an Apex , and made him look like he was standing still , from standing start , from rolling start , to letting him take off , and then me reeling him in .
I have not made any changes YET , a , because my stock set up is so good , b, because like you I don't want to have issues .
That being said I want to try and wake up the bottom end , so I can launch with transfer when I want .
I would like to be able to reinstall the blocks and control the transfer , not keep chasing it .
From all I have read this should be accomplished partially ,by going to a lower degree initial helix , like 33/35 , or 32/35 , and put in a different secondary spring .
If that doesn't work to my liking , or if I start blowing belts , I will go back to stock , which is pretty awesome .
NEXT YEAR , I will most likely get a quick spooling flash , with all the other necessary changes recommended.
Good luck , getting your situation resolved .
