For those of us that have the updated R.O.V. kit, Travis mentioned that you should pre heat your valve for approximately 1 minute ,by leaving the switch on before Starting ,to insure, that it is indeed open upon startup during cold starts. The added new bypass kit will put this issue to bed.

Do NOT put the hose in the airbox.Any issue with this? My dealer just called and told me he put the new kit on mine and told me the hose running into the airbox is big! I'm not liking this idea. Did you buy a longer hose to run it down to the access door?

Ditch the heated rov! Had 1 installed this year and it popped the oil tank seal in JanuaryThe updated ROV kit is a step in the correct direction. But dumping the vent hose into the air filter over the clutches is not a good solution. It will def. need a extended vent hose from the ROV and a catch can.
So there is no doubt we a looking for a permanent solution from you Travis!!!

No issues at all, I took the easy way and added a 5/8” barb connector and a piece of hose to the existing hose that went into the air box and just routed it under the engine compartment.
The cleaner way would be to run a 5/8” id hose from the out of the valve to anywhere but inside the air box.
Great, thanks for the information. Looks like I will run out and get me some 5/8" id hose and figure out where to run it. It's too bad the dealer already cut the 1" hole in my airbox. Maybe some gorilla tape can cover that up.

I had already bought Travis' option and was planning on putting that in, until dealer installed the heated ROV! Now decisions to make! Either try the new heated ROV and do like Sidewinder 2018 posted above and turn on the key on for 1 minute to let things open up, or completely ditch the new heated ROV and install Travis' piece.

I used a short carriage bolt and red locktight on the threadsGreat, thanks for the information. Looks like I will run out and get me some 5/8" id hose and figure out where to run it. It's too bad the dealer already cut the 1" hole in my airbox. Maybe some gorilla tape can cover that up.

You can but considering the condensation that comes out of the hose I would think there would be a possibility that the filter could freeze up too. I would just leave the end open.cant you take the line that goes to the air box and mount it it with a small filter on the end?????? Kind of like the old ECP kit??????

I’m sure tape would work, I ended up finding a rubber plug at Lowe’s that work perfectly.Great, thanks for the information. When the temp drops to -20's c and colder preheating the rollover valve is useless ,still frozen shut.As with others ask me how I know.Looks like the best 2 options would be total deletion or go with Travis's pressure bypass to valve cover if keeping the valve.

I went with the additional bypass kit for peace of mind(in case I forget to pre heat the valve prior to cold start) . I have had the heated R.O.V. For one season,no issues, and I leave ignition on to preheat prior to starting,so far no issues. Some that have deleted there R.O.V.and routed near right footwell have had plugging issues, whatever works for you. When the temp drops to -20's c and colder preheating the rollover valve is useless ,still frozen shut.As with others ask me how I know.Looks like the best 2 options would be total deletion or go with Travis's pressure bypass to valve cover if keeping the valve.

Go to Ace hardware and dig through the bins, found a PERFECT black plastic plug that snapped right in. Cause black plugs matter.Great, thanks for the information.
