Vent Fan?

I did the fan reverse just as you described above this evening. Started it up and let the fan cut in man there is a lot of hot air coming out of there.

You should see all the heat comes out from under a turbo hood with fan reverse!

One Question when you did this did you tape it of just plug it in? (as the clip don't work when turned)

Its a Weatherpack Connector just go to any auto store and they have the tool to remove wires from plug without harming them. Just reverse them. Another option is to buy a harness from Barn Of Parts.

Turned it around and used a plastic wire tie. Probably better the way Canondale did his though.

Did Yamaha reverse this for 2016? I was doing the pre-break in warm ups and the fan kicked on - felt like the hot air was being blown out the sides and front of the hood, not up through gauge cluster area.

Well, I did forward this mod to Yamaha so I will be interested in seeing if it is reversed now.

I have a 2016 and mine was pulling air in threw the rad. Then I switch the wires and now in blows out.

I'll double check it. If it is reversed, there is also the possibility that my dealer switched the wires right out of the crate.

Ok. Im sold. Dumb question. So.. step 1. Find the fan. Step 2.Find the nearest plug to the fan. Step 3. Assuming there is only two wires running the fan and lets say the colors are blue and red...simply swap the blue for red. Seriously, its that easy?

Yes it's that ez, the connector was close to the fuse box on mine

Yep, easier yet with Barn Of Parts adapter.

Its that easy. Zero cost if you rotate the existing plug. Apply a small amount of pressure and it will mark where you need to slot the opposite terminal. razor knife a similar notch and zip tie once together. If you ever want to go back remove zip tie and rotate back to stock.
