Just curious what type of warm up stand everyone is going to use on your new SideWinder? I've been running Apex's and this is the first AC chassis designed sled that I've owned.

With the design of the SideWinder rear flap and bumper there's no room to put my current warm up stand under the center of the bumper.

Does anyone know of a warm up stand that's designed to work with this chassis? :dunno:

That's a good question, I was going to pick one up and never thought about the flap, thanks for pointing that out.

If you are talking about a lift for the back end I have one of these that I bought to use on the viper. Make sure to put something between it and the flap or else it will put a cpl small gouges in the flap where it comes in contact with the extension tube ridge on the stand.

I made a custom one out of a bulldog tongue jack. Rear wind, instead of top wind. Welded a steel plate to the lift side, then make a CUSTOM bumper piece out of 2"x 2" aluminum angle, then padded it with rubber. Future use as the alum. piece is bolted on and can be modified to fit any bumper. It has a 5000# lift cap. so it doubles as a trailer jack also. With a loop handle welded onto it, it resembles a battering ram like the law uses on doors. Its not light, and its not pretty, but it sure does work good. With the adjustable leg extension and the screw lift legnth, the raising height is about 18"

I bought this one the other day, like has been said it will scratch the flap but it works good.

Thanks for the replies, it looks like I should be able to find what I need now. Appreciate it.

My homemade one started as a Bulldog 195354. Just noticed on Bulldogs site, its listed as a SideWinder, too funny.

Just picked up the new warm up stand today. After reading AXR's 3rd post that had a link to an old post if decided to go with this one:

It fits the rear bumper/flap great and has great leverage to lift the rear of the sled. It has an optional shield for studs/debris protection but since I don't run studs I went with the bare bones stand.

Looks good. It clears the light ok? Looks real close in you're 2nd pic.

No problem with clearing the tail light. I was very careful checking out the clearances on the light/flap/bumper. It's all good.

This thing works great. Wish I would have bought it years ago.
