I've seen some pretty amazing pricing on Yamaha sleds the last few weeks. With-that-said, I know the idea is to entice buyers into buying now to move inventory. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have a problem parting with $10K for in March or signing up for payments all summer just to look at a sled sitting in the garage. How about this, Yamaha could release the available leftover inventory for fall pre-order and let us put a down payment now to lock in pricing for fall delivery? Obviously they can't give us all of the Power Surge goodies, but I would jump at the chance to lock in a Viper for $8K or a Winder fro $12.5K if I could pick up next December.

Ask yourself in November..."Why didn't I just buy that Viper/Sidewinder back in March? That was a sweet deal and all I had to do was keep it in storage for a months."

Now is the time for deals. Dealers don't want to hold on to inventory and want to clear out space. Small price to pay.

Now go out and buy!

Well, to start out with, you cannot get a loan for a snowmobile until you get the VIN #, unless you go for the much higher % personal loans etc., so you do not look at financing until you receive your sled which is the time you want, right around October.

Buy a sled right now, not just spring order, but the general used sled market and the prices are rock bottom. Wait and buy this coming fall and prices are going to be higher! Been like that for ever, that I can recall.

Are you saying that if you spring order a left over, you pay now and receive it now? Because yes, that is very different then Spring ordering a new unbuilt sled, so valid idea whereas the leftovers are not unbuilt, buy buy now pricing and buy fall pricing would fall into that equation huh?

Kind of the idea. What I'm thinking is that Yamaha release a list of what is available and let dealers start taking deposits for fall delivery at guaranteed pricing. We put our $500 down to lock it in, the dealers keep it off their floor plans, and the leftover stock starts going away.

So let me ask you, How does the leftover buy now work?
I know they have 1K to 2K off on certain models and year, and also offer money for 2019 LE orders which you do not pick up intil October. But for the 2018 and 2017 leftovers, do you get it in the fall or get it now? Great deals if any of them are LE”s. I see those as still being hard to get.

****Sorry, wrong tag******
What difference does it make, buy now and make payments and pay off sooner, or buy in October, sill making payments next summer while looking at it sit there and taking longer to pay off. They want this inventory out of their storage, and off their floor plan and saving everyone money. In the fall the price would go up, like it goes down in the spring.

I don't think that it is going to matter. Talked to my dealer today about what I can expect to see on the market by fall. He told me that Yamaha released the list of sleds available, and each dealer could order 3 per day until they were gone. Well, there were only 150 available and they were gone in 2 days. So what you are seeing now is likely all that you are going to see. Wonder where all of this excess inventory is hiding at?

Things might be different up here in Canada, but I know if at least one dealer in central Ontario that seems to have a TON of Winders left over from ‘18. Typically hey seem to want top $ for anything they have, even used. That may be more to the point in this specific case.

A friend of mine wanted a new Vector before the power steering was no longer available. She has along relationship with a dealer from whom she and here husband have bought numerous Yamaha sleds, atvs and a SxS. Dealer looked around and there were only 3 in Ontario. She snagged one but like some have mentioned there doesn't seem to be a whole pile non-currents out there.

Any links to these deals? I've been watching price in Wisconsin and I have not pulled the trigger because I don't see any GREAT deals!!!!!

Depends on what you want and what you think a good deal is. Are they free, no, can I find a lot of Vipers for between 8 and 10 and Winders between 11 and 13, yes.

Port Yamaha had some nice deals, not sure if any left, give them a call.

In Canada the only left overs are because the dealer wants top dollar all year round! Spring and the next fall still at new price! While other dealers move their sleds other just hang on it seem still trying to get a new price out of a two year old sled!

Found a few new Apexs left over but other then getting lower mileage they are the same as I already have! Not that many Venture leftovers or Vector. There are are more sidewinders then anything else it seems. Maybe there will be more next fall listed!

more sidewinders then anything else
Either Yamaha seriously overestimated demand for Sidewinders, or the have a lot of sleds hidden until fall.
