i will always own a snowmobile cuz we are in the north and snow is a little more consistant, not that we have that much this year but i can still ride everyday if i want, but if i'd live down south, not sure if i'd have 1,it truly is a rich man's sport when you consider all the trailering and truck and motels and the list never ends, renting makes alot of sense, here we have a joe rent all that rents yammi 4 stroke, apexes and phazers, and he rents alot, now for buying a 2011,not for me for a cpl years,i keep my sleds min 5 years,i do have 2 friends that put a deposit on the new apex, that means i'll get to try it next year, and he's not paying what the mrsp says, roughly $1500 cheaper

Piper Cherokee ?
Beechcraft A36 Bonanza. I need 6 seats and speed!
I don't have the best eye for spotting new stuff haha we just sold our Cirrus SR22 and C180 Amphib, picked up another Beaver on amphibs for the summer.
I like em slow and low haha and able to haul a refrigerator!

Didn't plan on buying before the price increase. Will definitly not be buying a new one now. Might have to see how many miles the Apex will go.

a new apex would just about cover the sales tax on a bonanza.IFlyEm said:No new sled for me this year. In light of the cost of the new lineup I am opting to purchase a different recreational vehicle this year.

i would lean towards "lurkers" instead of "undecided". Not sure about snowmobiles, but in auto, about 6% are in the market, so 4% being in the market would be about right (60 yes out of 1500 views).Mighty said:Over 1500 views with only 170 votes, are there that many undecided people??

True. But the wife wants to travel more. I will just have to wait from some smokin deals on an Apex XTX

I would have bought a new Nytro XTX SE w/eps, guess I'll wait until next year and see what happens.

I've got a bad feeling these prices are a sign of the end for Yamaha Snowmobiles! Make money or get out!!

Also have to consider some people are waiting to see what the other 3 release and the prices. Its very possible that the sled they were planning on buying could be the same increase as the apex. In that case Apex could be a consideration again.

If I do go with a new sled Im going to be looking at the doo renegade. I may just pick up another older apex and get a rhino to play in the summer.

It's kinda too early for this poll to be of any relavence. The other manufacturers aren't done releasing their lineups. I'd say many people may change their minds considering what may or may not be coming out.

Not too many things sound cooler than a dehavilland beaver starting up in the morning, its probably my favorite sound in the world. Nothing like it, sounds like a HUGE motor well it is with a BIG cam. Gotta love it pure muscle!
