It was a great day of racing with some excellent compitition. Finished in the top 5, and top yamaha left in the bracket class. The track certainly changed as the day went on as I made no changes after the first round of trials.

Terry are you going friday to wir.My buddy and me are most likely going with the srx and the vectorI will know for shure wend.

Ryan - I will see, but not too likely. I am going to be busting major but, to get Tyler's sled ready for asphalt running. The track, and new wheels came yesterday, but will be freshening up the engine, and redoing the tunnel.

O.K.- ESTA dragway results. High 80's to low 90's, with humidity pegged for time runs late in the day, as mentioned by monker (Corey), and dropped on Sunday. Head winds of 20+

1st - 4th time runs were spinning, so no good times.

1st
1.5089 60ft - 6.9059 1/8mile @ 95.74mph (1/8 mile only)

2nd
1.5179 60ft - 6.9108 1/8mile @ 95.93mph - 11.2059 1/4mile @ 111.94mph

3rd
1.5850 60ft - 6.9689 1/8mile @ 95.74mph - 11.2700 1/4mile @ 111.64mph

4th
1.5659 60ft - 11.2618 1/4mile @ 111.46mph (no 1/8 mile time on my slip)

5th - I loosened up front torque arm pressure, rear tranfer spring, and tightened track. (finnally a good run)
1.4879 60ft - 11.0479 1/4mile @ 114.77mph

Sunday time runs (2) Watch 60 ft. & 1/8 mile times

1st
1.4941 60ft - 6.8442 1/8mile @ 96.50mph - 11.0939 1/4mile @ 113.37mph

1.4849 60ft - 6.8442 1/8mile @ 95.93mph - 11.2182 1/4mile

Won 1st round on the brakes. But with the 1/8mile times being the same, I new what to dial in for the next run in that lane.

2nd round - Dialed 11.11 (1/4 mile track was getting a little loose)
1.4810 60ft - 6.8271 1/8mile @ 96.78mph - 11.0709 1/4mile @ 113.94mph
Won 2nd round due to other guy redlighting, so I ran it out the back door.

3rd round - Dialed 11.14 (bad lane)
1.5488 60ft - 6.9012 1/8mile @ 95.91mph - 11.1791 1/4mile @ 106.31mph
Won round 3 on the brakes

1.470 60ft - 6.7887 1/8mile @ 97.24mph - 11.0857 1/4mile @ 105.38mph
Now look at my time, I ran on my number on the brakes, but got knocked out cause of slightly worse reaction time. Geeez

All in all, monker, Ken, and myself were in the money rounds, and had a lot of fun with everybody.

(I watched the tape last night guys, and the girl on the camper, under close observation, did not have any underwear on.)

Great numbers Terry. I know what you mean by the light, live and die by the RT.

Round 4 I took a guy out running a 10.582 on a 10.58 dial with my .52 light.

Round 5 I lost with a 11.17 on a 11.16 dial. Go figure.

1/8 -- 6.875 @ 96.56
1/4 -- 11.12 @ 113.31

Another best time and mph. The best part is this should be compared to 2 weeks ago where I only ran 11.25. Last week I borrowed a different helix.

Terry- check out run 1 and 2. I've got a slip just like yours with exact times (to the ten-thousandth) in the 1/8 running in different lanes.

Terry its up to you to get us that footage I reviewed all my films and only came up with a dog-walker in deninm shorts and see through blouse.

Oh Man! I showed the guys at the track this weekend the tape of ESTA, and they kept rewinding.

LMAO!!!!

Bad part of this past Saturday, was I did my 2 time runs, and was feeling o.k., but then 1st round came, and they took a little longer. I suffered heat stroke big time on the return road. Temp was 95° in the hole, with no wind, and 60% humidity. I thew everything back in the trailer, and sat in the truck for a little while before driving. I debated going to the hospital for an IV, but thought I would just get home, and relax. After cooling off, and drinking 3 quarts of Gatorade, I felt better. I stayed in the house all yesterday watching movies. (I can't wait till winter comes!)

Monker - Ken found your wheel chok for your trailer, just after you left ESTA on Sunday. He trew it in my trailer, and I found it this weekend. PM me your address, and I will send it to you.

Update - Tyler (SRXMAGIC) and I kept the sale of his magic ride, the 780cc SRX that ran 9:40's, a secret from everyone on the site, but is at it's new home in Wisconsin now, and will be hopefully running 9 flat without nitrous, and shooting for 8:40's with nitrous.

Tyler, your baby has been carefully getting tore down, and freshened up as I write this. I have removed the 97 stickers, SRXmagic, and ESTA stickers, and am in the process of repairing the tunnel, and replacing rivots. I will let you know her progress.

Pretty quiet on this post the last few days what’s happening??? So Terry, you going to quit running the RX1 or what?
Well we finally got the old slug out to the asphalt to see what it will do in the ¼. Although times and speeds have increased with the turbo over stock, I expected better. Not sure what this GT20 is supposed to put out, but I’m only getting 8lbs. of boost out of it, Jim I need your help, are you out there? Anyway, I expect better ET’s at my home track in a couple weeks, although it’s fresh asphalt and brand new management, so the track prep may not be up to par. Ya never know.
Well I won’t post every run, my 60’ times are around the same as stock or Nos-pro’s times, my 1/8 mile are better, running around the 6.5 mark and ¼ averaged around the 10.5 mark, with the best time of 10.35@122mph. I was expecting that I might be in the high 9’s at closer to 130mph, but then I thought I would be pushing 10lbs of boost. The driver (me that is) needs more practice with reaction time though. I did make it to the 4th round on both days, then redlighted on the 4th. Oh well sh!t happens.
The weather was brutal both days, especially Saturday, when the temp hit 95f or so with 55 to 59% relative humidity, 100%+ in the leathers, yuk!!!! Was close to heat stroke! Sunday was a bit better with strong crosswinds that ended up as headwinds for the eliminations. Not sure on the speeds, but must have been at least 25 to 30mph. With better weather, I should be closer to the 9’s. I’m still running the stock skid. An asphalt skid would probably get me some better ET’s, especially at the 60’ mark. Well we had a good time.
Oh yeh, the Hooters car set a speed record for that track at 218mph in the 6’s. Here’s a couple pics of our weekend….

That sounds like a very small turbo. I'm pretty sure CPR and Bender use GT25's on there trail kits and a GT28 on there race setups. I'm sure the gt20 spools very fast which might account for slow 60foot times. You might want to look into getting a bigger turbo. The bigger the housing the more HP you will make per pound of boost. I saw this on the dyno with my own eyes. We tried smaller housings to see HP levels and the smaller housings made less power at equal boost levels.
