There ya go Don, they need to get knocked out once in awhile also. Some of the guys will dial a little slow, like .02 slower than they are running, and then they will hit the brakes at the end. Easier to slow down than to speed up.
Getting ready for Martin, and will be there on Friday for the test & tune.

Hey Terry, how long of a drive is it for you to get to Martin Michigan?

It will be about a 6-7 hour drive.
Supposed to rain Sunday, but it is a week away yet.

looks good Mikey!!!!!
Thanks Terry… Been reallllly busy with work, don’t think I’m making it out to Martin this year, sorry… I did plan on it, but circumstances will not allow it… May be switching over to Grass/Ice soon.
Also, I see that you are going to race on ‘Pinks’? If that is true, that's awsome...

Too bad you weren't coming, as we always have a good time on the asphalt.
Ship the sled there, and I will run it...........just kidding!
Yes, it is true, and hope to not screw up, so I am practicing my lines..............ya right!

hlmrx1, they are running a pro tree in the Quick 16 classes and Pro Stock 800 class. The bracket races will be using a .500 tree. I believe Terry was talking about the pro tree in the 800 pro stock class which he was going to run his SRX.

It better be a .5oo tree, not like last time at Brainerd. But if it is, I will be somewhat ready this time.

Friday 8/25/2006 Wisconsin International Raceway
Test and tune and real street drags. Got the SRX to come out of the hole better, but still needs a lot of tuning to get where I want to be.
Good news is I ran a nitrous run with the Attak, and dipped into the 9's with poor air quality. Try 78 degrees with 94% humitdity. You were wet just standing there.
1.519 60ft - 6.311 1/8 @ 108.489mph - 9.996 1/4 @ 129.980mph
Saturday was warm and cloudy, but traction was good, and I had all 1.4's for 60 ft. times.
1.474 60ft - 6.851 1/8 @ 97.115mph - 11.070 1/4 @ 113.299mph (lane 2)
1.478 60ft - 6.872 1/8 @ 95.727mph - 11.095 1/4 @ 113.398mph (lane 1)
round 1 (lane 1) dial-in 11.06
1.468 60ft - 6.856 1/8 @ 95.920mph - 11.150 1/4 @ 102.498mph (hit the brakes to not break out)
Won round 1
round 2 (lane 1) dial-in 11.08
1.472 60ft - 6.869 1/8 @ 95.055mph - 11.158 1/4 @ 103.456mph (hit the brakes too much, and lost) would have run and 11.08 by the 1/8 mile times.
Dropped down a couple spots, but 3 more races left!

Hey Junkie, thanks for the thumbs up, and hope to have more things figured out for some mid 9's.
Over 1 full second difference again, and hit the button after the 60 ft mark.

Well again last weekend I got knocked out in the second round by the same 17.5 second car. Got a good launch .5630 reaction against his .5570, 1.47 60’, dialed a 10.00 and ran a 9.9961, he dialed a 17.65 and ran 17.6630. I managed to beat him to the finish line by .0109 but lost due to my breakout. I let off the throttle at the last minute just before the sensor, but flew by him so fast I thought he had beat me to the finish line and that I had let off too early. It’s hard to tell when he goes through the traps at 82.10mph and I go through them at 123.60. Anyway if I come up against him again, I will try a totally different strategy.
Monday I got knocked out the second round again as I redlighted, oh well can catch the top dog now, I’ll have to settle for top 5 I guess, that’s if I can make it in there. At least 2 more scheduled race days before we pack it in for the season.
