Hey monker, isnt it my job to make sure you get to the wedding on time? As long as you are there when she is ready then we are ok. It dosent matter what we do before hand.

Congrats on the 8's Mike!
Went to the track on Saturday night, but just to watch with some buddies. Getting married this Saturday, so there won't be any running for a couple more weeks here.

Well guys season opener here in Gimli, none of my cat buddies were ready to go with their sleds so I was the only one out there. Only went Sunday, Monday and got knocked out first round on both days. My reaction time sucks, I've got to get back in the grove. The sled didn't run bad other than a bad bog right after I hit it. It takes off ok, lifting the front end immediately, but drops off at the 60' mark with the revs dropping right down and picks up right away. I didn’t want to mess with things as this problem was very consistent and my ET’s were good, if only I could get my reaction time as consistent. The hook up was awesome and I don’t think the track was really breaking loose. Coming back I hit it a couple of times while moving and there was no bog. My rpm is pretty much dead on topping out at 10500 or 600 dropping down to 10300 full out. I was thinking of looking at the clutching first, maybe increasing the spring tension on the secondary and if that doesn’t work, then taking weight off the heel to increase engagement and give the turbo a chance to spool up more. Anyway if I get time I may post my times later.
BTW what class do you guys run, Terry, Ryan, Monker, Buster696? Are you guys running for points? NHRA or IHRA ?
Congratulations Buster on getting into the 8’s !!!!!

The track here (ESTA) that I usually run at is NHRA. Points are just at the track, it's not a series that moves around or anything like that. I doubt I'll be making any kind of run at the championship as there are already a few weekends that I know I will be missing.

Hey jeff, are you coming this year. Last year a 8.4 I think took the money.

Don I haven't ran yet this year but normally I just run on test and tune nights and special events because the points night race is usually stock car racing night.

Don, I am currently in the WIR points at my local track, and IHRA Super Series Points. I will add the link, so you guys can watch and keep tabs on me.

Thanks guys. Our track went from NHRA to IHRA last year and Terry, I could register for the Super Summit Series, but don’t think I’d make it, need more practice, so I’m just going for track points and the fun of it. I’m running the Pro-ET class and believe most guys in that class run with a delay box and mooch experience compared to little old me. I don’t know if there are any rules to this unless you register for the Super Summit Series and run in a national event such as that. So I think I may try and drop down to the next class which is Sportman as I stand a better chance. Don’t know if they will allow this as my ET’s may be too low for that class. Anyway Terry, I noticed that you’re running no box and in 8th place, congrats.
I won’t bother posting all my times for this last weekend, just the better rounds. Times were quite consistent along with the bog that I had off the line to the 60’ mark.
Sunday
1st round – 14.7c, 25% humidity, bar. 963.36mb, No Wind, Right lane, reaction .670 (Dial in 10.50)
1.5281 60ft.
6.5350 1/8 @ 107.13 mph
10.3901 1/4 @ 121.84 mph
Broke out more than the opponent, race was close, but he crossed first, killed me on reaction
Monday
1st round – 22.6c, 26% humidity, bar. 966.41mb, Head Wind 20km, Left lane, reaction .7119 (Dial in 10.30)
1.5181 60ft.
6.4611 1/8 @ 108.44 mph
10.2231 1/4 @ 16.69 mph
Turned boost up a couple lbs. Broke out more than the opponent, couldn’t catch him, should have let off as he didn’t, killed me on reaction again.
Perfect reaction on our tree is .500, so I have a little work to do on that.
