Well I see we have some votes. If somebody is willing to share what works, or what isn’t working, that may help us draw parallels and figure out what might be going on.
Please try to be as thorough as possible with your setup so we don’t go down any wrong roads.
Thanks, CM

Remeasured my c to c at 261.5. Offset is about 58.5, sure appears by to need less offset to run true.

LAST YEAR:
-C to C=262mm
-Offset was 61.5mm
-parallel looked good, but i checked with air cleaner on so not 100% positive on accuracy
SNAPPED belt at 900 miles. Shimmed helix & set to 6 & 1.
Did not blow another belt rest of year for another 1600 miles, but no other belt had over 700 miles on it.

Any cat guys here? Id like to know the length/width of cat belt....
The week link is belt.....why are there not 1000 belt blowing and alignment threads on HCS? Because they have a hi HP belt avail and we dont.
I know they are wider....so could we use a cat secondary and maybe shim spider to use a cat belt? I think being able to run a cat belt would be a good test.
I dont think we will ever see much over 600 miles per belt with these belts designed for viper HP.

Had some info from a reliable source.....yea he can't give up his contact from Yamaha....
Yamaha has the info they need and are working on a solution for the belt. He didn't think it would happen this season as things move slow.

263.5 mm center to center
62 mm offset
14xx miles on current belt.
Edit:
Belt snapped in half today. Sounded like a bomb going off!
Blew side panel clean off the sled.
Note to one's self, change belt before 14xx miles on it.

I don't mind changing belt at 1500 miles. I just don't want it to EXPLODE before that!
I plan on changing my belt every 1500 miles anyways. That makes 2 belts per year so i'd be at $156 for the year.
That's why these threads are going to help. IF a lot more people chime in...
