Getting rid of the roll over valve

I will say, getting the line in that copper U bend was a pain.

Rich, I battled with it for a half hour with some very rigid 5/8" transmission line that I bought to make a tight 180 bend. The hose won the battle! I ordered some other stuff to use instead.
 
Good Day. Working on my cousin's '17 ZR 9000 & decided to do the ROV delete after his blew the oil tank seal. Tank has been resealed & is good. Just wanted to get your opinion on my setup, which was copied like many on here & specifically Mike K. 5/8" fuel line with copper 180 degree clamped & installed where stock ROV was mounted. Will do the 45 degree cut with a pressure relief slit 6" up. Main question is were to dump the hose? Just by the foot well hanging down (by how much??)? Will it get in the way of your boots? Or dump it by the chaincase guard which I've seen. Have yet to finalize it.

I run mine down against the chaincase and deposit it just in front and side of your boot.
Never gets in the way, and I figured keeping it closer to the heat source of the oil tank and chaincase is better.
Been running that way since 2018, never had an issue.

Thx Sevey. Was thinking by chaincase as well. Extra heat would help keep the end open & free. Just thought to ask about different results. Is heat wrap/tape around the hose necessary? Given the heat while running & shutdown, the copper elbow would hot enough to allow fuild to flow in either direction until temps drop. Likewise for the hose itself. Just wondering about the hose exposed close to the turbo/exhaust.

Don’t leave hose there. Move it to the right, there should be a spot it will fit next to lower side panel and foot rest area.
 
The photo by the footwell isn't done yet. Just left the hose hanging as I wasn't sure yet where to put it. Haven't screwed the foot well bracket back yet. Upper part is pretty much done Odeg. Just wasn't sure by chaincase or hanging an 1" or 2" under footwell. Kinda leaning towards chaincase guard side.
 
Keep it tight to the cowling side and cut the hose more open than 45 degrees. Make sure it's below the footwell where it exits or you'll be slipping on the oil. Slide a catch pan under the sled where you store it after a ride or you'll have a big oil stain on the floor.

I wouldnt worry about any tape. My end sticks down where the chaincase gully is - below the actual footwell.
Again if you are in snowy conditions snow and ice never sit in that location due to heat but can on the outer cowl.

Ok. Here's the finished product. I decided to dump it towards the cowling. It hangs down 1 3/4" at slightly more than a 45 degree cut. Small pressure relief slit just about my zip ties by the footwell.

I know it's not rocket science, but does she look ok? Any negatives to how I did it? Or good to go?

Well I found a problem. Cowl won't close. 180 degree mounting spot where old ROV is causing the hose to stick out to far. Have to tuck it in further. Arrrgg!
 
Tweaked it a bit. Just zip tied it to the heat shielded wiring loom. Seems pretty sturdy there. Also added a thin DEI heat tape around as I had it anyway. Hangs below about 2". Side panel closes now. Alex.

Looks like where you have it is great. I run mine shortened up to just below the running board with a nice 45 degree cut. Exhaust heat will keep things warmed up real nice but not too much. No oil gets on anything and I never had a freeze up doing it this way. Perfect spot for it.
