Roll over valve problem.

Hoping Bill from 4 stroke solutions will come here and inform. But he replied to me email. He is working on Sidewinder valve. Was explained to me that the OEM valve is normally closed. So if it sticks its going to blow something out like your tank. His valves are normally open so if it sticks nothing will be harmed unless sled is rolled. Sounds to me like a better solution. Problem is he doesn't have any Sidewinders to work with. So if anyone is in WA with a Winder contact him to get this done please.

I never seen this company before. Very cool
I have one on Phazer since 08 and after a minor roll on Viper in first year with oil spill right on the middle of trail it went on Viper. Hardest part is getting used to using the tether but it works and you guys should be using a tether anyway. Now I don't feel right without it on.

That sounds good. Yes the stock valve is spring loaded normally closed.

I'm thinking no vent is better then blowing the oil tank again. Hopefully bill will have a solution soon

I was pulling the oil line off in preparation for changing chain case oil, and this happened. Looks like a poor design to me... Looks as though the two pieces are simply pushed together. No sort of sealant. Ill probably send to the dealer, hopefully a warranty replacement. Just a little heads up, remove gingerly!

Wow, another roll over valve post....and this one just came apart!...Gees

Thanks for heads up, we better be gingerly with them i guess.

Sometimes reading posts here I wonder if I've done the wrong thing getting into the Sidewinder....

Undo the hose from the top of the tank, then the black torx bolt or visa versa and you shouldn't have that problem. DON'T pull on the roll over valve hose nipple without it clamped lightly together. Just an FYI.

Maybe they made it that way so it could be cleaned? Couple guys had issues with the valve sticking causing pressure to blow out oil tank seal and leak.
