I am desperately hoping for a mid size setup with the Phazer engine. That is one portion of the market along with a great engine that Yamaha has left out to dry.

Yup if a Phazer had the handling of a SnoPro500 it would in fact be a perfect entry level sled and great entry level 500 Class racing sled. Instead Phazer got its #*$&@ handed too it once the SnoPro came out. Bet this new Cat is its replacement.
