I wouldn’t go that far, but yes it’s better. Many problems still exist, there really is no reason for it. Cheap fixes that should have been addressed.

Are we mixing ‘build quality’ with design? The build quality to my non engineer mind is the factory laborers putting it together correctly. Were as design is what components, what features were designed into the product ie sled on paper.
If anyone can state it better please do. In either case i am happy to read of improvement

My point was that I think that there have been design improvements for the Pro Cross, and that the build quality of the final product (fit and finish) have both improved since Yamaha got involved in the mix. Maybe it is just a coincidence, but I think there is a pretty good chance that those improvements are due, at least in part, to Yamaha's influence.

Not sure how much influence Yamaha has at Cat and their plant workers, Cat pride workers are probably not as fussy putting together Yamaha spec sleds, its a good thing that Yamaha is watching and making sure this happens, Cat has always seemed to lack on fit and finish, only Suzuki pulled Cat through a lot of years at the races and on the trail with their engines till Cat gave them the boot, I think once Cat leeches as much as they can out of Yamaha's Textron will give them the boot also.

Really glad to hear both are perceived as improving
I am sure the mfgs have monitor #s that hopefully support that.
My personal experience with the procross viper 15 and buddies 800 cat procross 12 Has been good since he had the early belt eating problem fixed.
Keep the improving reports coming

I cannot think of a single problem any Procross sleds has that is a result of a plant worker at assembly unless one of them is given the job of 100% inspection of components which is highly doubtful. The issues come from poor quality and spec parts supplied or in some cases design. Cat never gave Suzuki the boot other than making their own engines.

Well.... just think of a Chevy truck being assembled on the line at the Ford plant, there would be some resentment, as for the Suzuki 4 stroke engines Cat had them replaced by Yamaha, any way you want to slice it, that's pretty much the boot in my eye's after years of the Suzuki spirt engines, its to bad, Suzuki made some powerful engines for Cat snowmobiles, pretty much kept Cat #1 back in the day at the races and on the trail with their 3 cyl 2 strokes.I cannot think of a single problem any Procross sleds has that is a result of a plant worker at assembly unless one of them is given the job of 100% inspection of components which is highly doubtful. What ever dude do these Ford's have Chevy motors also, give it a rest and don't be such negative Nancy. I realize this Cat and Yamaha partnership is not your cup of tea but do you really have to try and convert every one over to your way of thinking. I prefer the new YAMAHA sleds and think a lot of others do to and I completely understand that every one has there own opion but man it gets old after awhile.

Mr. 20/80.....We all get that you're a True Blue Yamaha guy and haven't come to grips with the unholy Yamaha/Arctic Cat alliance but it's really about time you just...
And please stop doing this with all of your postings...
Cheers!

Oh c
By your logic, only Arctic Cat riders are allowed to apply for a job at the assembly plant? Only those that own a John Deere can apply at the John Deere factory?
I actually worked for a Polaris dealer way back in 1996/97 while I drove a Yamaha sled. Does that mean I hate Polaris and would never own one? Of course not.

Having actually toured both plants and talked to some assembly line workers , most don't care. It is just a job to most and some have worked at both plants, most seem to do it while looking for a better job. I am starting to feel sorry for 20/80, world just passes some people by.

WOW!! kind of getting the feeling that being on the Totally Yamaha site that some members don't want to hear about a totally pure Yamaha's anymore, they seem to want to follow the Cats then report back to the Totally Yamaha site on their findings and talk about how much of a great sled it is, they are even posting pictures of Cats on this site now, then the first hint of a true blue talking about a pure Yamaha or defending a pure Yamaha sled these members target the true blue and shame this member for frowning on Cat, I hope the hell Yamaha does not drop a motor into a Polaris, true blues will really get beat up on then, oh.. by the way sense you guys are on the Cat site anyway maybe you should register, …. under a different ID of course, you can't have such faithful Yamaha guys letting the Cat forum guy's know your wearing a team blue jacket with a green tee shirt. p.s 74Nitro not sure how you got what you posted out of my post??? and as for TPAY243 still doesn't know who's team he's playing for.
Nobody said that! Everyone here buys Yamaha for the motor and I bet everyone here would do whatever it took to get a TRUE Yamaha if it were as good as what we have now for each of us personally. I am not going to ride a sled that I dont like no matter what brand it is. Its a Toy for crying out loud. They dont pay us to ride them. You are talking like Yamaha is a God or something. Its the people HERE that I honor and I bet I will be riding with them or talking to them forever trying to make our rides as good as possible no matter who makes them. Sure would be nice if we didnt have to talk any other brands but it is what it is.WOW!! kind of getting the feeling that being on the Totally Yamaha site that some members don't want to hear about a totally pure Yamaha's anymore, they seem to want to follow the Cats then report back to the Totally Yamaha site on their findings and talk about how much of a great sled it is, they are even posting pictures of Cats on this site now, then the first hint of a true blue talking about a pure Yamaha or defending a pure Yamaha sled these members target the true blue and shame this member for frowning on Cat, I hope the hell Yamaha does not drop a motor into a Polaris, true blues will really get beat up on then, oh.. by the way sense you guys are on the Cat site anyway maybe you should register, …. under a different ID of course, you can't have such faithful Yamaha guys letting the Cat forum guy's know your wearing a team blue jacket with a green tee shirt. p.s 74Nitro not sure how you got what you posted out of my post??? and as for TPAY243 still doesn't know who's team he's playing for.
