Mach Z not stock king of the lake.

Well, shame on me, but before the race, he asked, "Is that thing programmed?"

I replied, "No, this machine was not a program sled, I bought it brand new with 0 miles and I'm the only owner.". Haha......good times!!
well played.....

And what is with the whole constant wrapping the throttle when slowing down and going threw stop signs? Especially while other riders are present.. Never understood this EVER.. brap, brap, brap, brap, brap?? WTF does this do besides constantly grabbing the belt and releasing the belt?
:dunno:
they destroy the trail doing that stuff...by the time they get to my age there will not be any snow so they won't get a sore back from all the bumps they create...something good about global warming as they call it.

Yah I agree just lots of complaining on here lately

The trails get up regardless
Not a huge deal in our area we don’t have the traffic most members on here have to deal with. We’re lucky that way I guess

come on Pasman, they destroy the trails with the throttle jockey crap...otherwise who would care ?
while i do not condone anybody tearing up the trails, its not always the 2 stroke guys (or young kids), anybody that launches in the middle of a trail will leave behind a pile of snow as well. I do not have any experience with the trails out east, but im sure after 20 or so sleds with 300hp run corner to corner, the trails are probably a little beat up as well. Honestly i thought we get whoops bad here, then i went to the mountains, the whoops there are over 12" deep, and they groom those trails 2 to 3 times a day 6 days a week. its easy to point your finger at the you ones, but they arent always the culprits.

And it sounds best with a loud can that probably loses them hp. That has been getting our trails closed.

Sidewinders dont create bumps. Just hundreds of feet of trenches.

I groomed a stretch of woods last week. Came back through and met a few sleds. The moguls already started, and they were riding very slow. As the suspension rocks back and forth, it leaves little piles that amplify as each sled passes over. Honestly, fast sleds leave smoother trails, not tearing it up, just moving faster. Less time for the suspension to rock back and forth. Had nothing to do with the ground underneath as this section was smooth ground.

LOL, Fleecer. And I thought you told me that you've never lied to anyone when we were at Lakeview a while back.

Well in actuality it wasn't really a lie, he just misunderstood the question conveniently.....

Maybe but I doubt it. It is totally stock except for a Dalton B/O secondary spring. I’m not surprised they run so close. They are both pretty close to 200 hp and my Doo is about 50 lbs lighter so my results make a lot more sense than what others are reporting.
Get rid of the b/o spring , that's your problem i lost 15mph with that

You got a good one XP123! The other day I went to my secret testing grounds and encountered a father/son racing. The Dad had a 22 Renegade Turbo, while the son had a 22 doo 850. The 850 would pull ahead in the midrange and stay there.

After putting a hurting on his Dad while I watched, the lad was feeling pretty brazen and asked me if I wanted to line my SRX up with his 850? It didn't work out well for him.
Glen you are the man !

If you lost 15MPH with a secondary spring change, you have lots of other "issues" with your clutch set up. Especially that spring! That is a very good spring.

You can’t run 26psi on pump gas……. But the 1100s are fast. Same as the 998s really
I run 97 octane pump gas ( octane raised by torco ) as tested at DynoTech. I also run a D&D modstock muffler. The modstock turbo tune is supplied by D&D and the fuel curve is adjusted with a Boondocker from there for each RPM range. It was a pain to get it where is it but I wanted 300 quiet HP for the trail.

Before I went down this road several guys told me that the modstock muffler could not support that kind of HP and it would not be possible to run pump gas with a modstock turbo. What is 100% true is that there is no off the shelf tune for something like that. Most guys would stick bigger injectors on it and run a 3inch pipe out the bottom and use one of the off the shelf tunes. Both D&D and Jim Czekala were a great help. The sled is a bit of a unicorn.

I am happy the current tune companies can now make quiet HP on the 998.
