Is the kit for the mountain sleds that Yamaha is offering with the spring check the same kit for the lower elevations? I'm thinking of trying to spring check a mountain sled AND a RTX LE and using the mountain turbo on the RTX. Any thoughts?

It's pretty close to the same, no intercooler for the mountain version. We have a intercooler on ours. So that's one difference. Still same boost except the guys in the mountains can run more boost, but same hp numbers. Might be some other small differences, but nothing major.

Does anyone have a link to the MPI website? The only page that I can find has supercharger applications only (and is in desperate need of an update)..
Edit: Also, the MPI Turbo kit that Yamaha has made available via the PowerSurge program sells for $2000 US / $2500 CDN, but is only on the MTX for use above 6000 ft ^ sea level.
If one turns down the boost to 6# is warranty still valid if dealer installed on an XTX LE?

Our website sucks! We're working on it. I did hear today that the XTX is available on the boost program. That XTX with the 2.25 powerclaw is one fun sled! I don't have a good answer on the below 6000 ft warranty? I'll try to get that cleared up.

Yeah your website needs an update but your supercharger on my Nytro XTX ROCKS! where did you hear that the Yamaha Power Surge deal applies to the XTXs? Anybody else hearing that? I'm leaning toward the RTX LE for the clicker shocks, but not totally opposed to going with the XTX if I can get the turbo for $2000.

I really like the vertical steering post on the XTX LE. The standard XTX steering plane is similar to the Nytro, but coming off of an Apex I prefer the vertical post like the cat 4 strokes. If I can get the powersurge discount turbo on the 2015 LE, I'm sold.
P.S. Thanks for the reply Matt!

+1 for only being able to turbo a MTX? AC is offering a ZR 7000RR is that going to be our only option for a factory genesis motor turbo east of the Mississippi? http://arcticcat.com/snow/sled/ZR7000RR Our dealer told us that you have to live above 6000ft or be west of the Mississippi or they will void your warranty if you buy one and do it anyway. Is anyone else hearing this as well?
I want a 15' Viper R-TX LE factory turbo full factory warranty sled!

Where are you hearing that you can get a low altitude turbo on the ZR7000RR from the factory? There are turbo options for the flatlanders, but just not factory options at this point. Who doesn't want a full factory warranty on all these great go fast parts?!classic079 said:+1 for only being able to turbo a MTX? Well, maybe 12.5 is to lean??? I have been running mine around 11.5-11.9 just to be safe. I don't think that's to fat. I'm just being safe. From that picture I seen I hope that's not my issue! But 11.5 is good for me! Maybe we need something to add to the gas when we need to or only have one option on fuel.
Tom, thanks for the help, project will be done after Mexico next week. Back to the gym ![Banghead :o| :o|](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/banghead.gif)
Been spending the morning looking at gauges. Decided on the Koso. Like that it displays all the things I want to monitor in one package. Sure I will be giving you a call Tom...your going to wish I didn't get your number.

Tom, I've noticed that you don't have an unsightly air filter sticking out from the hood of your turbo'd Viper whereas the factory kit for the 2015 MTX does. Can I ask what sort of intake system your sled is running?

Trail turbo intake is under radiator and intercooler.
