Nytro Freeride build (2013 build page 27)

Thanks guys!

I took her out for a short rip the other day everything seemed to be working well. I'm going to try to go for another test run this week!

Wow nice revster, let us know how she rides when you have more seat time.

Well first impressions....

I am really impressed with its bump handling ability so far. I ripped it thru an area that had been drifted in then well traveled by other sled. I nosed into a few and the suspension ate it up.

I am also very happy with the ergos. The sled feels very natural. A very easy transition from a rev. I know that OFT post relocator had a lot to do with this. ;)!

I am not impressed with the weight transfer so far. I'm going to have to play with my suspension a bit to gain some without giving up too much in the bumps. I also have to dial in the clutches yet so that will help.

Let me know if your out in the mountains in jan, i'll be tearing up as much BC powder as I can for a month and a half. Be fun to meet up with another "freeride" nytro rider. sweet thread man. Looks great!

Well the plastic is now done (except decals). All the foam has been removed and the xxxmodrod vent kit is installed.

The vent kit only came with pre filter material on the clutch side so I bought a sheet of SLP prefilter material and added it to the vents that were missing it.

The mod rod kit is not bad. It's cheaper then a lot of kits out there but the frames are plastic where most are metal. But they don't look too bad and they come with lots of rivets. You will have to drill your own holes in them, they are not pre-drilled.

how about ater? skipping over open water some times and worried it will hit the v-belt.

Yeah that would be cool, but plan is Montana in March for this years mountain trip.

Yeah water could be an issue. The prefilter material keeps the snow out but pure water spraying on them might be an issue. I won't be doing any water skipping with this sled, well the odd time I may have to cross short sections of open water but they are usually short enough to not be much of a concern.

Nice Sled... need some boost!

Also ported tracks don't like water!

Good to know thanks!

Thanks for doing a log on your riding :-) Looking forward to follow your riding on your propane beast.

I changed my drag n' fly set-up and what a difference. The bottom end came alive in the sled. It's now picking up the skis!!

We've had our 3rd good snow fall so far this year and all of the snow blew into the ditches. I was riding deeper snow today then I have in a while!!
