hi started installing your steering kit, when I tighten bolt to 27ft lbs I cant move the pivots, seems like the brass bushing should have been a little longer?

I had de same problem, I sanded down the plastic washers just a little bit.

Back down on the torque value just slightly to avoid premature wear. I installed this kit 2 seasons ago. Every sled wears slightly differently. I'm not speaking/representing the manufacturer, just my own personal experience.
I'm also very happy with the product overall.

08 what year is your Phazer? I am very surprised by this. It could be the kit was designed to take up play in a well worn sled like mine is. Not sure but as a former Machinist I do know that UP Bushman hits the numbers right on. Very accurate machining. The torque should not matter and it is important safety wise to torque it correctly so if a few rubs on a piece of sandpaper are needed to make a bit of clearance please do it. Do not loosen the bolts to get it free. Everyone makes a mistake once in awhile he may have in this case. Are you sure you didnt just use to thick of a shim provided in the kit?

Hey phazerdrew I backed mine off a touch and there were good a little snug. The Collar on the stock Bushings are a bit longer so when torqued tight they still moved quite freely. Any slop that is left in the Steering System is in the ball joints thanks again.

Like I said I backed mine off slightly
