Ya no kiddin! This is getin old quick. Wait all year for snomo season, and that keeps gettin pushed back further each year because of landowners hunting. Then no snow. I recall back in the 90s a year there was no snow untill Jan 28th, and then BAM snow for two weeks solid. Hopfully we can get out sometime, look at all the work we can gettin done, and all the money we are saving!

WNY PAT said:Not sure if any of the locals are riding this week but Wednesday looks like the best day of the week. Depending on where the Lake snow sets up, I might be down on the ridge with a buddy or two if anyone is lookin to put some miles on. If conditions are okay, we are planning on riding all day. Just hoping this snow shows up!!
If the conditions permit I'll be travel over to the Chautauqua ridge area to put some mile on. We need to wait and see what the lake snow do but it looks like Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties might be rideable by Wednesday.

Conditions will not be good, its the first day theres snow and thats a maybe. If its all fluff the skis go to the bottom and hit all kinds of things. No base, no riden for me. I'll wait till its safer. Guess I'm gettin old? Since when do you all think the weather man is going to be right?

This thread is for setting up the Totallyamaha ride Jan 18th starting in Gowanda NY. Hope anyone that wants to ride the area show up for one or all of the days. We usally start the day between 9 and 9;30 gased and ready to ride. We normally ride for most of the day, and then get up and do it again. Stopping for sightseeing, pictures, food and gas. We do it as a group, and stay together. So it has worked out really well over the last ten years, I don't recall many problems, and have never lost anyone. Hope to see Ya'll there.
Any other NY ride should set-up your own thread please! Thanks,Honk

To all concerned. Most of you know I am a Meteorologist at heart, and still study the weather patterns, especially in the Winter. I have been on line for the last hour, studying the wind currents and jet streams along with highs and lows up by the Arctic circle, trying to figure out if we are going to have any Winter this season. I think about the 13th or 14th, we will get into a good winter pattern, but the big question is, will it be soon enough to save our Western NY trip? I think it may. We should have a good cold pattern then, that could produce some decent LE snow. Don't cancel your plans yet.
BB Warrior - as an armchair wanna be amateur weather fan, I look at models from a laymen's perspective and if that Euro turns out late next week - WOO HOO!
