Yamaha Cutting Production for 2019

It's been know for years he started a Polaris forum.. for those guys.. he makes money at this stuff so why not?
I really need to get with the times on all this drama stuff. It’s like a frickin soap opera around this b1tch!

I sure hope that Yamaha has a brand new sled to roll out 2020, new motor. Maybe call it another SX Vmax line??? lol.

FYI,chris reid did chime in a couple months back saying don't be surprised Yamaha didn't help design the cat ctech600 two stroke motor...a few others may remember seeing this!!!!!

If Yamaha came out with a 850-900cc twin two stroke of their own, or co-designed with Cat, I have no doubt they would sell alot. It is not something I would ever want to own, and I have no idea why anyone would want one after riding a tuned Winder, but obviously a market does exist.

i know a few guys that would be interested, myself included. But for me, it would have to be rock solid. Something like my 01 sxr700. I never had a problem with that engine.

I would like to see Yamaha pair up with a shock company like Elka for their production sleds.

Makes the ride so much smoother!

Or Hygear, after riding VX1R's Sidewinder with the Hygear Custom Axis shocks all I could say was .....WOW!

Yes, those redheads were arguably the most reliable two stroke ever built.

Very true!! I went to some of Olav Aaen's clutch tuning course years ago. In his class at the time he said the redhead 700 was the most bullet proof 2 stroke he'd ever been around. He was using it all season long in his go-kart for testing clutch parts. He said "I have literally beat the tar out of that motor without one failure and it keeps coming back for more!!"

Then why would Yamaha be using the Ctec 600 in their own lineup, branded as a Yamaha???

I'm not sure how to read the original sentence. "Don't be surprised if Yamaha didn't help?" "Don't be surprised, Yamaha didn't help?"

So is it like: Yamaha did not help with the Cat 600 because they were going to share that engine with them blindly?

Or is it: Yamaha did not help Cat build the Ctec 600 because they are building their own new 2 stroke, but will still use the Cat 600 in the meantime...?

I think Martyf means that they had a hand in building it...
