Feel free to talk about when we swapped clutches Terry. Rpms were right on $. Xtx is a good mid ground tester for sure. As long as hp is equal.

Cannondale just brought up when we were testing clutching....swapping entire clutch setups...the clutching stayed pretty much the same between his RTX and my XTX. It's mainly about the hpr differences.

Does changing clutching or adding a kit affect warranty at all?
If not and my LTX wasn't still at TA, I may have tried to assist with the testing effort. My guess is we're not far away.

This is something that I have thought about ALOT with this sled and sleds in general lately. GUYS REALLY need to respect the power. I know it goes without saying but I have thought about this alot lately with the upcoming season. Sometimes I ask how much do you really need to trail ride?Being totally honest....
My SRX has run a high 8 second pass on nitrous and mostly very low 9's every pass, just motor on asphalt, at speeds close to 140mph. It's nothing for me now.....
This SW is scary fast and pulls hard! Maybe the way the surroundings were with trees and skis in the air....but if I were to guess....with hookup, this sled will be in the low 9's on asphalt with clutching, exhaust and Maptuner X from EVP.
*****To all who have a SW or have one coming.....please ride safe out there! I know everyone wants to be the biggest and baddest out there...but this sled has soooo much power (especially with add-ons) that it will be a big change from non-turboed sleds you may currently ride. Even the turbo guys that are messing with this sled are seeing faster speeds, quicker take offs and freight train pull. Just be careful and know your surroundings. This sled has become very popular, the hpr is the most on the market, the speeds are crazy fast......but you need to remember.....you still only have 1 brake rotor and 1 track trying to stop you at these speeds. Be safe! Ride smart! If you are going to run someone....find/check an area where you know you won't hit deer or an ice crack or heave. With that I say... HAPPY TRAILS EVERYONE!!!

good question, which weights and springs, leaving secondary all stock, stock 8JP or 8DN and 8JP,my stock clutching on grass was not much different with either belt, but we were only running 400 feet, and in that length either belt would completely shift up,as far as clutches would allow. Are you testing for studded sled or unstudded?

No, clutching does not affect warranty. I live just south of Manitowoc off of Hwy 42

Non studded on hard pack grass....it's very close in traction

Agreed, very close. The 8DN belt may grab a touch better but I am doing everything with the stock 8JP and having good results thus far...cool clutches, pull like a mother F and only a little belt dust with the miles that are on the sled. My sled was used in the video to test the EVP stage programs in Minnesota. Hardly any belt dust with 473 miles on the clock.

The reason I am talking so highly of Thunder Products is the 50 foot difference in length with the testing stripes in my yard, the "HOLY $HIT" I was saying when I was trying to avoid trees on my shutdown and the way the clutches were just luke warm. I tell it like it is and won't sugarcoat anything. Remember, I don't get paid for doing this......I do it because I love the sport, love the SW and do it for all of you here on TY. If these weights were Joe Schmoe weights....I would be talking very highly of them.
Thanks VX1R, jonlafon1 and murdered

meant no disrespect and not knowing you (yet) I consider it a reasonable question....
might want to test some daltons? or better yet...some heelclicker 2 speeds ....never had a better setup on a yamaha....for sure destroyed my heavy hitter setups...

Would love to see some 2-speed testing as well.
