Are replacement springs ready?
Have 1361 miles on my 18 Winder. Have had Dalton’s Black/Orange Secondary spring in it, along with their 33/35 Helix since day one...no issues at all with the spring or Helix.
My season finished up last week with a great trip To Northern Maine(my 3rd of the season) and sled and spring ran Tremendous. I think I must have gotten a good one(spring). Thinking of just leaving well enough alone here...
For sure there are lots that are fine. Any we have heard of that broke seem to have done so fairly quickly within a few hundred miles. Thats up to you. We just dont want it to happen to anyone and are fine with replacing if you want to.
really , no instructions in my package
Sorry, there were a couple that got shipped without the new sheet for the updated one. Email us and we will get it to you.
I'll try to post it actually
Thanks Brian,
yes, there is a slight difference in tang position on the updated one., ..it is ten degrees

It is identified by a single, solid horizontal stripe on one wire coil of the spring as shown. Previous version had a stripe across multiple coils.
If you had been previously tuning with our earlier version there is a slight difference in the spring tang hook locations on this version.
For instance, with the earlier YBO spring version many clutch tuners who were tuning Sidewinder models (even with the ECU re-flashed and/or mildly tuned trail boost programs) it seemed most common to set the spring at 70 degrees (6-1 setting).
With this updated version there is a slightly different tang location, so you would set it at 6-2 or ten degrees more than the earlier YBO spring version. This will give you the same torsion amount as the earlier version.
Springs are now shipping. Some who had returned springs and were on the list have received them.

Dale, thank you again for such a stand-up thing to do. I got my new spring yesterday, now I just need to be patient for 7 long months . . .
Dalton shipped me two new replacement springs to Norway, Europe - free of charge. This shows oustanding customer service and a company that stands behind their products. No wonder they have me as a loyal customer.

Hi again Dale,i am still running your standard blk/orange when I run your ramps, and have not broke it yet,but next year I will increase boost, and plan on running my DTYA1 ramps at 77 or 78 grms, with your blk/red primary and your 41/35 helix with this secondary spring,do you feel that spring for the secondary will still work ok?View attachment 140173This spring is a newest version of DPSS-YBO ( Black with orange mark)

I still have the B/O spring from my TD clutch kit installed. Do I needed to take a photo of it destroyed to get a new spring sent?
