ice scrathers??

We can get them. They are made by Over The Top Performance.

Takes a little bit of finagling to get them mounted but I think they should work good. I’ll report back after my trip this weekend.
Don't think you will be able to back up,without picking them up.

I put these on and only had to enlarge one existing hole in the skid, on hard packed plowed roads my winder ran 4 degrees cooler then normal these are the Yamaha ones that L-TX-LE was not listed on the fitment list

4 degrees,or 40 degrees, mine will cool motor down 40 degrees every time they go down.

Maybe, the tips pivot to aid in backing up. We will see!
That would be great if that happens, man it would be a pain in butt,to have to get off and lift them up,to run reverse..imo

Mine runs at about 172 in good snow conditions then when I get to a plowed road I put them down and it runs cooler by 4 degrees I don’t wait till it gets hot then put them down

I run a cable style mounted to my a arms.
The mounts are removable with a simiple wing nut and rubber to protect a arms.
I think they are dura scratches they have been mounted to 3 different sleds over the course of 8 years. Still have the original tips installed too. They won't tear off or break in reverse either. I also dipped them in plasti dip with about 6 coats on them so they didn't ding up the back portion on the lower arm thats why they are black.
See my profile pic they are mounted on my sled.

OK but what I was saying is when its icy,if we try and drive thinking the temp will stay under the 200 degree mark, and it does not, when I put them doen, from that temp, they drop water temp by 40 degrees.

So what would be considered normal operating temp on a sidewinder

Okay great. Now that I know this and how to see numbers on my gauge I will see where my sled runs with scratchers down vs up. Thanks for the info!

I like these particular cable style best....I nearly went with the OTTP spring style, but changed my mind last minute for a few key reasons.

Lots of pics in link below from when I set mine up....easily bolted on WHEN NEEDED and cannot spin like other cable style mounts. Qualipieces makes them - 'Trail Blizzer.'

I did exactly that. Then when not in use, hooked on the ski, the cable near mount plate was rubbing on the snow and wore down the plastic coating. I since made a small steel plate to rise them up about 1-1/2", should do the trick

I have these on my ski's but have yet to use them.
